The Steubenville scrimmage is the 18th though, not the 19th.
Thank you!

Hey Spread... I'm pretty sure the Steubenville scrimmage is the 18th. lol

Seriously though. I'm not planning on going to the IC scrimmage. I hope to make it down to Steubenville, but I may not make it to that one either. Anyone going to either of these, that can give me an unbiased perspective on the Cats? I think the Big Red fans will let us know how they look, and reddevil90 said he was gonna go. Is anyone going to the IC scrimmage though?

Unless something unexpected comes up, I'll be at the Champion scrimmage.

Only 36 days left until football...

I'm gonna go unless there is a Campbell scrimmage. i need to get footage of that if i can. I have to see how this camera is gonna perform! I just got it cause my older one wont hold a charge and cant find a battery for it. Its from 1993. i picked up a nice HD 1080P sanyo xacti. I hope it does the job...

I don't really see the logic of playing champion... Unless they are using it as a tuneup game...... Champion lost alot from an average team last season

I agree. This one should be more of a tune up scrimmage, to build confidence. The point can be made though, that Champion could possibly be better than three of their first four opponents. I see Champion on the same level, or above, Jefferson Area, Beaver Local, and Liberty.

Indian Creek should provide some good competition, and Steubenville may be the best team they see all year.

You'll know how good you are after the creek scrimmage. There gonna be good. seen a few practise. My son played on the team last year 9th grade. and since i didn't get the transfer i was suppose to get yet! He will play for creek again. So i'm hoping he does good this year again. he plays FB/DE

Again you will really really know how good you are after the Big Red Scrimmage.

reddevil90,

Will you be at the IC/Columbiana/Southern Local/Struthers scrimmage on the 13th? I hear Campbell has a scrimmage that same day...

I might be cause i got to work so travel time after work wont allow me to get the Campbell scrimmage. Plus my son will be playing in the indian creek scrimmage game. So ill more then likely go to that one. Ill see what i can do for some footage. and ill let you know what struthers does.

I figured. Thank you, sir. Footage isn't necessary, but would be appreciated. A brief synopsis would be just fine, if you don't mind.

Spread... you're right. I could've sworn they were 2-8 in 2007. Regardless, I was wrong.

That's something that I have no trouble saying... I was wrong. If I make a mistake, and someone calls me out on it... I'll admit my mistake and try to correct myself.

So Saunders did go 4-6 in 2007 (14-36 overall), that only supports my claim that he was a better coach than Pirone, Jr. Saunders didn't run the program into the ground. He wasn't the savior that the program needed, but he wasn't the worst Head Coach in the history of Struthers Football either, like some people lead on.

The Campbell guys were getting adjetated that this kind of discussion was going on in that thread, so I moved it over here.

He's a great guy. Terrible coach though.

No one can really argue that. He definitely wasn't a great HC. He's a great guy... no one will argue that either.

I was just saying, going by winning percentage, he wasn't the worst coach ever.

Any word on any scrimmages coming up? Do they not have anything until the 13th, or do they have something this week?

You said earlier in this thread that they have a scrimmage on Wednesday...

reddevil90... you would, lol. Campbell wants those computer points. :)

You know how I feel about the Devils. Good luck to Campbell this year. Week 10 should be another classic.

Spread... you think everything is on a Friday.

So, they'll see Southern Local twice? Unless they're only scrimmaging Columbiana and IC at Indian Creek next Saturday... and no home scrimmages... are Southern and Southern Local different schools?

via vindy.com/blitz/teams/struthers

8/9 at Southern Local with Champion 11:00 AM
8/13 at Indian Creek with Columbiana and Southern 10:00 AM
8/18 at Steubenville 7:00 PM
