Passing scrimmiges mean nothing sadly, but Struthers has put a beating on a lot of teams in passing scrims i hear

My mistake there's only 5 home games. But either way, I'm excited for the season for the Cats! Hopefully they can pull out a 7-3 record. Setting my hopes high but oh well.

They're currently 5-0 in passing scrimmages. Lowellville, West Branch, Brookfield, Salem, and someone else.
Like Spread said, you can't put much stock in a team based on how they perform in passing scrimmages.
We'll get a better idea of how good they can be when they put on pads and start hitting, and when they go to Steubenville. No doubt though, the results so far are encouraging.

One of the players put on FB that the Steubenville scrimmage is off. Can anyone confirm this?

Oh man i sure hope not cause i was going to that! And was gonna video it if i can and don't get caught for Btrev and Spread. Ill see what i can find out tomorrow. ill ask around. I live less then 2 miles from Big Reds stadium.
Asher has coached against big red before so he knows there coach very well. so i find that hard to believe.

Ok... there's confusion now.
Apparently one of the scrimmages was cancelled. Which one it was, and when it was, I don't know... neither does he... unless someone posts what is going on before I do, I'll let you know when I find out.

ill do the same but i heard from a big red huddler that one did get cancelled. But not sure what one. My guess is Struthers and Big red since there was a question about that. Hmm sucks looking forward to that one....BTrev;833870 wrote:Ok... there's confusion now.

I'm hoping it wasn't cancelled. It wouldn't surprise me either way.
If the Big Red scrimmage is indeed cancelled, hopefully they can find another quality team to really test them before the start of the season.

Last year they scrimmaged Alliance and Southeast.
Other than possibly scrimmaging Steubenville this year, I don't know. I've asked a couple of kids on the team, but they couldn't tell me. They just said that they'd find out and let me know. I haven't heard anything back yet.
Maybe Spread or someone else has some insight. I don't have a clue though.

I don't know. I didn't attack anyone, but it seems I'm constantly defending myself.
I've talked to both Maillis and Shaffer, among others. If either of them aren't "actually someone," then who is? I never said I was in touch with any of the coaches. I figured that's why you asked about Southeast and Alliance...
What's with the ignorant attitude, Ohio?

The Steubenville scrimmage is still on. It was a passing scrimmage that was cancelled.
Good luck sneaking your camera in, reddevil90.

I just found out...
The other hitting scrimmages are against Indian Creek and Champion. I don't know when and where though, because my source wasn't sure.
With five passing scrimmages and three hitting scrimmages, the Cats should be well prepared for week 1.
