Never said anything about defending him. Take a few minutes and read my other post on this thread. Weiner screwed up and is making matters worse with his "explanations". I don't care which party he belongs to, the bottom line is he screwed up. Any consequence or heat he takes is his to deal with. I just don't like the idea of the "100% guilty by listening and watching him". Hell, if that were the case we could save a lot of money in the courts by simply hiring ccrunner and his ilk to decide who's guilty and who's not.

By the way, Bill Maher really needled Weiner on his show last night. He did have one thing that stood out, though. He said it was obvious that Weiner was a Democrat because the picture was sent to a woman.

You and ccrunner agree. You both are convinced Wiener is full of shit. If what ccrunner, you, and I believe is true, then there will not be a court case. I said before it is not against the law for an adult male to send a picture of his wiener to an adult female. Unlike most males that send pics of their wieners to females at least he kept his underwear on. I don't know when men are going to figure out sending pics of their dicks does not turn women on. They are not like us.

The capital police do not believe what Wiener is claiming in public either. That is why thankfully they are not wasting taxpayer dollars and launching an investigation to find the "hacker" that they at this point do not believe exists.

I agree with you that what went down wasn't against the law. What is does, however, is cast a lot of doubt on Weiner outside of his district. Just because there is no law broken doesn't mean there isn't collateral damage.

Weiner live press conference ongoing. He admits everything. Should have done this from the beginning, as the truth usually comes out in this day and age. He's not resigning, but it will be interesting to see how the voters deal with this next year.

Exactly, I'd give him credit if he didn't lie and was honest from the beginning - he deserves no credit now, he's being forthcoming only because he got caught. He had no other choice. What a sleaze.

Studds kept it for nearly 15yrs unitl his honorable retirement. Frank is still going strong and will continue his political power and good standing withing the democrat party until he chooses to retire with honors.

Yeah, that was really disgusting. It's too bad you gave up on the article, because there was so much more about those honorable Republicans.
