OSU is a hot name when it comes to violations right now. I'm skeptical of everything.

If it makes you feel better, this blog is a sportswriter for the Sun Sentinel out of Fort Lauderdale. It's not like it's some kids sitting in his basement writing a blog.

DAVE HYDE finished second in 2009 in voting for the nation’s top sports columnists by the Associated Press Sports Editors. It was the third time in four years he has finished second in the country in APSE voting for either column or sports feature writing. He has placed 13 times in the Top 10 of APSE writing categories in his career, including a first for investigative work. His writing has been featured in the “Best American Sports Writing” anthology and he has authored “Still Perfect: The Untold Story of the 1972 Miami Dolphins” and "1968: The Year That Saved Ohio State Football.” He worked for Miami Herald before coming to the Sun Sentinel in 1990.
That is info on the blogger. Even if it is a blog I'd still say it has merit.

smh...some people really get their rocks (or female genitalia) off looking for articles, blogs, etc. slamming the Bucks--it's sad....anyway, when all is said and done, OSU will continue to pound tsun, and they'll continue to search for reasons why...GO BUCKS!!!

Sad part is I don't have to look. They are just all over. Just discussing. Thought it might be of interest.

This x10000. Did you see where the kids named by SI article were cleared by the NCAA? For the record the NCAA has more to lose than gain by dropping the hammer on OSU so don't expect much

If the NCAA goes light on Ohio State...they had better never punish any school for anything ever again

Why would there be one? It makes SI a liar. Bill Greene tweeted it

Honestly I'm not surprised by that. I actually expected several of them to avoid discipline from the NCAA. Mainly because it would be borderline impossible to prove anything. All they had to do was say "no that's not true." The NCAA has to have more proof than hearsay.

With all of that being said, I'm convinced that pretty much everybody named in that article was guilty of something.

If the NCAA cleared those guys, there would certainly be several articles. That's dumb to say otherwise.

No, Bill Greene tweeted it and said that all but 1 of the new names had been cleared and they were working on the last.

BTW, wheres Jermil Martin's name anywhere? I thought he was the slam dunk key to the case????

I'd have to think it would be a newsworthy item as well. We've been hearing since the article came out that they were cleared. But no actual article yet.

All I'm repeating is what someone tweeted. If it turns out to be wrong, then get me.

I'm not saying it's wrong. In fact I'll be very surprised if they aren't all cleared. I just think if it was official it would be newsworthy.

yeah like I said, I'm not surprised that people are getting "cleared"

So much of that article was hearsay

Just who is going to report it? SI? Not likely. Even the Dispatch has money in this game. The only place you're going to hear about this stuff is likely to be tweets or blogs at this point.

Oh and it's nice to know you have that "guilty until proven innocent" mentality going for you. A very shaky story (credibility wise) makes some blind accusations and they're automatically true?

Um, where did I say that. The fact I think they'll be cleared goes against that mentality. Do you read what I post or just see that I'm a Michigan fan and assume things?

Stuff about Pryor and the cars, and also his deal with driving without license were all covered when accusations were discovered false.

Some of us are not naive. These allegations didn't just drop out of thin air. Why would SI randomly pick on the players mentioned in the article? I'm not saying the players did anything terrible or anything, but I find it kind of comical that you think a 20 year old college student and their parents are more "credible" than the people who were quoted in the story. Naturally the players are going to say they weren't involved and there probably isn't much evidence other than "he said, she said" stuff. The NCAA really can't penalize a kid if that is the case.
