Wow, what a joke of an article. Just re-hashing stuff that's already been disclosed and then adding an exaggeration by random player about more players getting free tats.

LOL

I'm relieved. The rumors were so much worse. I just hope this is the end (besides the car deals).

I thought this article was going to "drop a bomb." OK, some OSU players -- most from inner cities -- sold some gear for money and weed. Yes, that is against NCAA rules, but I thought this was going to be so much worse. Kindof relieved right now actually.

Really? Are you talking about the credibility of the criminals they interviewed or what? lol This article is LAME. Just another attempt at bringing OSU to its knees...over tattoos!!!
And OSU got caught. But this same exact shit is happened all over the place. Yes, its wrong, its against NCAA rules. Not condoning it. But its not Reggie Bush living on a hillside with his family in a million dollar home.

Thats it? I was expecting alot more than that. If thats all they've got we might be in better shape than I thought.

The media made it seem like it was going to be alot worse

Idk if you know this but...real investigations by the NCAA/Feds require actual evidence...not just what some criminal tat artist said anonymously.

And how do you suppose this will be proved, if even true? By the testimoney of a convicted criminal?

Yeah, I'm not going to lie. I was prepared for someting much worse than that. The basis of the story is that more than the original 5 players were getting tattoos.

The only real juicy bit was that Jermil Martin might have gotten Rife Rose Bowl tickets and some other stuff in exchange for a new car.

Dohrmann made it sound like this gift to reporting was the sole reason Tress resigned. I find that hard to believe, this really just reinforced what we already knew.

This. SI did a hell of a job of framing the story to get readership, but outside of giving more information regarding an expansion of tattoogate, it was nothing new.
