What you're saying is retarded. You can change any number of variables about a persons life and have it be altered drastically therefore saying "if he wasn't.... he wouldn't have..." but that doesn't make it the underlying cause for something. I first got into the video game Halo because of my friends on my wrestling team. That does not mean that I would not like Halo if I did not wrestle. You aren't using good logic.

I hate when people use the logic, "if he/she/someone would've/wasn't/didn't...then" and then make a definitive statement!

If someone in Thailand would have stopped a butterfly from taking off, the storms over here never would have occurred!<---This statement is just as stupid as the one being made in this thread!

One could not argue your statements about Bono. Which is why I would not and did not post that Bono got an invitation to the WH because he is white.

You're trying to use these meta arguments as reasons Common got invited. Why not go all the way and say the only reason he got invited was because he's human? Not human...no invite? Sure it's true but that doesn't make it the reason he got invited.

No, your original post asked if being white was the ONLY reason that Bono got invited. I never made that claim about Common.

There is a HUGE difference in the two statements.

That's why I like him as well. Not because I share all his viewpoints but because he points out so much bullshit and hypocrisy in the media and government that no one else seems to care about.
