By the way, until you learn to put your foot down about this situation, you deserve to be treated as such. As of now you are just crying to people about the bride on Ohio Chatter. You are really showing her tough guy. Sucker. LOL.

Nice comeback.. you're so very clever for valley trash.

Then quit bitching. Right there is a perfect opportunity to save some dough!

A better way to save some dough is to say, "Uh, we had plans and now at the last minute, you changed the plans so we have to pay a shit load of extra money. Fuck you and your wedding, you dumb cunt!"

I told her I wasn't going. She could still use the rental car if she wants or I can cancel it. She told her friend that she can't afford to go by herself and pay $800 extra for a dress and hotel so either she had to hope her dress shows and she can stay with her, or she has to send her regrets. So I'm getting the blame for it, but oh well. I don't know you and I'm not spending 1500 on you.

She's not mad at me at all. Her friend is furious with me... but that doesn't really matter seeing as I've never even spoken to her.

I'm sure you will lose a lot of sleep over some chick miles and miles a way who you have never met being ticked at you for something ridiculous.

Seriously, good move. No way I would drop that amount of cash in this situation. My wife and I went on a nice week long cruise for 2 for under $1500 everything included....$1500 for an effing wedding is a no chance unless it's immediate family.

I think that the $1500 is a stupid number. You said so yourself you could have saved $500 by driving down there. I could find you a hotel/motel/notel for under $100 for your whole stay! Gotta make sacrifices, my friend.

All you have to do is live in a dumpster for four nights, like Ernest does during all his vacations.

Wow, what a comeback that was!

All I know is there are about a half dozen black bus boys in Atlanta getting ready to ride the Love Train. Enjoy your golf.

Because randomly showing up on threads to be an internet hardass and doing nothing more is just as productive?
And lets be honest, every city in the nation that isn't Detroit can take shots at the Valley.

Yeah, I've never heard of people picking up airfare, hotel and whatever else for their wedding party. Maybe if your friend can't afford it and you really want them to be in your wedding, but otherwise this is just the cost of having good friends. Shitty to bitch about it since they will incur the same expenses going to your wedding.

The last minute stuff is kind of not right, though. Usually they reserve a block of rooms at a decent price, and the dress thing is her fault. You at least have to do your part to minimize people's expenses, especially for those in your wedding party. She should eat the cost of the second dress and probably help with the hotel room, at least for the price gouge of last minute booking.

Consider yourself lucky - sometimes the bridesmaids/groomsmen have to foot the bill for an expensive engagement party on top of everything else. Plus, now people have baby showers for guy friends...just another expense to deal with.

Answer this....if it is HER friends wedding and SHE is the one in it, and YOU have never even met HER friend, why are YOU forking over the money to pay for everything?
