Smart? Sure, but not as smart as you make yourself out to be.

Smug? Definitely.

Sports Knowledge? Ehhhh, I have never been impressed with student sports broadcasting. Pretty cool you had the experience/opportunity to call those games though. I am going to need to ask a few more questions to determine this. Did you play any sports? Accolades? Thanks.

4 yr starter in golf--3 time 1st team all conference, won 3 tournaments
3 yr starter in baseball--1 2nd team all conference 1 1st team all conference

Played half a season of JV basketball as a frosh before quitting, and never played football because it interfered with golf.

But again, I don't think playing sports is a necessary condition to being a knowledgeable sports fan. Does it help? Absolutely. But some of the brightest sports minds I've heard/read/watched on tv didn't play sports at a high school level.

I don't know where I will live once I settle down, but you can bet your ass I'll raise my kids to be Cleveland fans. I suppose if I end up in Colorado and the Indians happen to be good that year, my kids will be frontrunners? Or am I a bandwagoner now because I live closest to Cincinnati but remain a Cleveland fan?
