And Philly is a deeper more dangerous team offensively. My advice to you is try and think outside your little box. Other things factor into this better defense discussion than just goals against.
That said Buffalo's *edit:defense is not better than Pittsburgh. They make a he'll of alot of mistakes and are inconsistent and streaky at best. They get bailed out by Miller repeatedly. If Buffalo had been able to retain one or both of the vet d men they lost in the off season they might actually be a dark horse. But with the inconsistency their young offense plays with, I don't think they can get past the 2nd round.
Pittsburgh seems to have Buf n Washingtons number. Perhaps the Flyers could get the Pgh monkey off their back w Criesby and Malkin out but Montreal IMO has the best shot to beat the pens because they know they can. Price is the wild card there however.
