^^ Seven of those points came on special teams (not the defense).

Another 7 came after Gilyard returned it to the 30 (short field)

Pitt has committed numerous dumb penalties that led to TD drives.

I agree with you that Pitt's defense hasn't played great today, but they've still performed well against Cinci, and that Cinci's offense is overrated. That's all I meant with my OP.

I'm not a Cinci hater, I'm really not. Just an objective fan.

And Cinci's offense has turned it on in the second half, I can't deny that.

Guess what, good offense just beat good defense. And Cincinnati got enough stops on defense to win the game.

You can defend this thread all day, but you still look like a jackass.

FYI, Cinci scored 45 points...

It's easy to have inflated stats when playing against a bunch of nobody defenses. Ask Oklahoma about that last year when they ran into an athletic defense in Florida.

And the weather's not an excuse, Pitt has to deal with it too and they're moving the ball.

Pittsburgh's defense is in the top 20 in the country.

Because they are coached by WANNY! Thats why! Pitt fans can say what they want...but this is as good as they are going to be with Wanny as head coach.

^^ LMAO if that's what you call good defense from Pitt, then you must think OSU's defense is out of this world.


First half: awful Cinci offense, good Pitt defense
second half: pathetic pitt defense, good Cinci offense.

I made this thread in the first half. I stand by my opinion that the Cinci offense is overrated.

If you thought that Cincinnati was an undefeated conference champion that would be headed to a BCS Bowl and still have a shot at the BCS title game.....then you had them pegged.

BTW, their DEFENSE turned it around just as much as their offense did. HUGE turnaround.

You guys that are saying Cinci is going to get pounded in their bowl game continue to make me laugh. First they didnt stand a chance against Oregon State, then they were going to lose to Illinois because Illinois was big ten and the big ten was so much stronger than the big east, then it became they are going to lose to pitt because pitts d is so good and cincys o is so overrated. Just keep picking against them and they will just keep proving you wrong.

Maybe, but of course people have been saying that every week for the past few weeks before their next games. And they've been wrong every time. Cincy has flaws, especially on defense but they can score with anybody.

So one game against a great offense overrides everything they did in the season to achieve that top 20 ranking? Ever think Cincy's offense could be that good? Several people have already pointed out just how flawed your logic is.
