They never quit and have a great sound is crosses the borders of country music to almost mainstream.

If they keep up the pace (they would have to for 20 years) I just feel like they are on a path of greatness.
Ever?... no way, to much old school (real) country from the past out there that set the foundation of country music. I love the ZBB's style of music, however to speculate that they are the greatest ever in country when they fit into an entirely different image than what country music started as is retarded.

Here is some good old school country.

Johnny Cash
George Strait

Everyone else.

Anyone that says Strait isn't at least in the Top 5 need to just stay off the thread because they don't have a clue about country music.

Everyone else.

I don't disagree, as far as male vocalists, but old timers might argue Conway Twitty, George Jones or Hank Sr, among others.

Don't get me wrong I think it's fair to say that I've enjoyed the ZBB songs that I've heard but I wouldn't consider them real country music nor half of the music that is on country stations. JMO.

Amarillo By Morning is one of my favorite songs ever and favorite by George for sure, but I've never heard any one or saw any list that says it's the greatest song of all time. I might give you from 1980-present, but He Stopped Loving Her Today would still be ahead of ABM. On the lists out there anyway.

I saw Travis Tritt in 1990 when his only song out was Country Club. I told my gf at the time "you will be able to say you saw him before he got big".

Though not quite as big as Alabama, the Oak Ridge Boys are the best country music group of all time IMO.
