The Dispatch article quotes Pryor's HS position coach as saying "...Terrelle has done alot for OSU and does alot for the community and the kids back here in Jeanette."

No doubt he's done alot for OSU (...most of it pretty Fk'n bad) but I always love it when some a-hole like this coach spouts off about some athlete doing "alot" for the community and kids. I doubt Pryor has ever done one Fk'n thing of worthwhile for anybody in Jeanette other than win HS football & basketball games and bring some notoriaty to this piss-hole of a town. Prove me wrong Pryor Lovers and I'll sign out with any line you decree.

Interesting you mention quotes from the article, as the most telling is the comment from the local restaurant owner who said:

"And to take away half a season from him and ruin his last chance for the Heisman just doesn't seem right. We are so proud of him, but you have no idea what it would have meant to have a Heisman Trophy winner from Jeannette."

And it's no wonder he has a sense of entitlement when those around him are still talking about the Heisman when he has proven to not be on that elite level.

Yeah, I'm sure the NCAA considered the feeling of the Heisman hopefuls in Jeanette.

This. It's the combination of the two that make it look bad.

As mentioned, this isn't entirely new info. He had indicated that some had been forwarded at that previous press conference, now we just know to who.

A question for Buckeye fans. Is TP worth all the problems that he has caused the university? I figure alot of you were jumping up and down when he signed with OSU. How you feel now? You lay with dogs you are bound to get fleas. The question now is how many people he brings down with him.

Hindsight is 20/20 though. I was disappointed when TP didn't sign with UM. Am I now, hell no.

Yeah. That's the truth. Really, other than being the typical stud-level HS player who LOVED the media attention leading into his signing day, I don't recall any concrete negativity swirling around Pryor before coming to OSU. I do recall a report of unsportsmanlike conduct in some HS game (football or basketball), but that didn't really register. Let's be honest, entering Ohio State, David Lighty had allegations of firing a BB gun at someone and that never turned into in-college character issues (the opposite, actually, as he's probably turned into one of the more loved guys in the basketball program in recent years). It's easy to use the "hindsight is 20/20" thing to say that Pryor was a mistake, but at the time, it was a major win to get him. It just sucks that he never really matured.

Dated a girl from there. I could not determine which was the bigger hole - the town or her vag. There were a few shining moments though, as both the town and she sucked ass.

Even if he was indeed a bad apple, I think Tressel always thought he could "reach" the bad ones and turn their lives around.

Is there any word on whether or not Tressel told Posey's mom, or wasn't he important enough?

Other schools are lining up to use this against Ohio State in recruiting.

I personally think that is a GREAT question!

If you are Posey's mom and you find out your son is suspended for the whole tattoo thing you are probably disappointed in him. Then you find out the coach, who promises to take care of her child while he's at OSU was aware of it 6 months prior and never did anything about it.

Obviously we don't know who was made aware, but that would be disturbing to me that Tressel knew Posey was messing with this local felon and he let it go on without informing anyone.

Issues like this rarely affect most prospects' decisions. I mean if USC can still pull in top recruits even after the penalty, then I see no reasons why it would significantly affect recruiting, unless the NCAA comes down harder than they did on USC(very slim chance).

Ohio State will always handpick whoever they want in Ohio, but it can't "help" in recruiting. As I said above, all a coach has to tell a kids parents is that Tressel found out two of his players were involved with a local drug dealer and never did anything about it, and it will make parents question him.

I wish TP had signed with anyone but OSU. He certainly had his choice of schools.
