This is an #11 seed that lost 11 games, with 6 of those losses being to non-tournament teams.They lost 5/8 regular season games.There is a reason that Vegas made Kansas an 11.5 point favorite. If Kansas doesn't win, it will be an epic failure for the Jayhawks.

You'd think that time on a beach would calm you down a little bit. Clearly that wasn't the case. Sorry you didn't enjoy your vacation.

Calm me down? LOL You are an amazing person to be able to see through a computer and figure out who and how someone is. And you couldn't be more wrong about my vacation. It was pretty awesome. But think how you choose if it makes you sleep better. Clearly are you are as clueless as I believe you are at times. ;)

So your determining factor for great coaches is losses to high seeds in the tournament???

It seems to me, that you just personally don't want to say Bill Self is a great coach, and the only thing you have against him are his poor tourney losses...so you just say that's the reason.

The term "great" is thrown around way too much IMO. I think there are FEW great coaches. And I believe that greatness takes TIME. I wouldn't put Izzo or Self in the "greatness" category yet. Coach K is a no brainer. He has been doing it for YEARS.

If we're talking coaching careers....Roy Williams, Jim Calhoun and Jim Boeheim are also great coaches in today's game and that's not even debatable.

If only saying "it's not debatable" made it so. A list of greats starts with multiple national titles, IMO, and gets cut down from there.

The three I named, two of which have won multiple national titles, have done it great enough for long enough. Success over decades. Longevity, consistency.

Again, those three aren't debatable and as CBF said...Coach K. I didn't mention him because he goes without saying. One could make an argument for Izzo as well.

I think of great, as one of the bests. Now, all-time greatness...Self doesn't come close. But there are very few all-time great coaches. But right now, I would say Self is a great coach because I think he's one of the best coaches in the country still coaching. I mean really, waht defines great in anything, not just coaching? The best sport apparel companies are Nike, Under Armour, adidas, and i'm sure there are others..you would consider those great companies...why wouldn't you consider a coach you think is one of the best, great?

First off, who the fuck is "Boheem"?
Secondly, if you're talking about Jim Boeheim....he's a Hall of Famer and what, 20 wins or more a season 33 out of 34 or 35 seasons? Yeah, that's not great. Years of choking? Losing the national title on a last second jumper? Running into a buzzsaw otherwise known as a loaded Kentucky team in 1996 when Syracuse wasn't even supposed to be in that game that year? 3 or 4 Big East conference tourney titles? A few regular season conference titles? Beating 2 or 3 #1 seeds on their way to the title in '03 was a fluke?
