i think it sucks, but who knows. How often do you get a 2nd rounder that actually contributes?

I think the 480 bridge is going to be busy tonight regardless...but that would make me join the crowd.

I was able to get back on RCF for about 2 minutes before the server got too busy. They arent very happy over there.

I won't say they messed up until I see what happens with Thompson/any upcoming trades. Once the Jazz took Kanter, there obviously weren't any teams that desperately wanted to move up to get and the 4, and the Cavs thought enough of Thompson during his workout against Williams and Kanter to take him. I'm very excited to see what happens.

I cant be too upset with this draft, at the end of the day the Cavs got the best player in the draft. Most experts would tell you that there is quite a drop off from the top two picks and the Cavs got one of them

I don't understand why take a Serbia forward who will probably never play in the NBA instead of a Moore from Purdue or Lighty.

LOL at opinions gradually changing to what was clear when we picked Thompson 4th. Grant/Gilbert don't know wtf they're doing.

Because they don't feel like those guys are worth a roster spot.TigerNation10;812352 wrote:I don't understand why take a Serbia forward who will probably never play in the NBA instead of a Moore from Purdue or Lighty.

Will he want to sign with Cleveland after they pass him for Eurotrash?

Cavs got the best player in the draft, I'm not thrilled about the 4th pick or what they did in the second round but this wasnt a terrible draft. It will be interesting to see what they do with the TPE, they have about a week to use it.

If they do, Grant deserves to be fired on the spot...

FWIW, Chad Ford listed the Cavs as a teams draft that he liked.

Not sure why the Cavs were scared of Jonas' buyout. (I'd be more scared his name was Jonas). Stash him overseas, should they not suck next year too to stockpile talent?

I don't see why people are freaking out about the TT pick. I'll admit I was a little shocked that we didn't get Jonas and that we didn't do any big time trades to get another lottery pick(and that we may have blown the TPE), but it still was a decent draft. TT isn't a random scrub, so maybe the Cavs saw something they liked over a random Euro prospect.
Anyway, the second round picks were a joke, and the trade for 2 future second rounders was also dumb, but still the draft was pretty good.

The first round was very good for the Cavs...
If Kanter or DWill weren't there at #4, I wanted to trade down... However, I wanted to trade down with Tristan Thompson in mind.
I'm not real sure why people are shocked about the TT pick. Dude is athletic, goes all out, plays great defense, both off the ball and 1-on-1, and has a solid post game...
The writing is on the wall for Andy or JJ... I think the Cavs could keep JJ and use him at center, but I definitely think Andy will be traded.
Also, the offseason isn't over yet. The Cavs still have the TPE and I believe Sessions will be traded as well.
The second round was pointless... But whatever.

JJ is too small to play center except for a few minutes a game.hoops23;812426 wrote:The first round was very good for the Cavs...
