to me it appears they are just going with best available player (other than Knight), which when you need talent isn't bad. they can make moves before the season or over the next couple years.

If they don't trade for a center JJ and Andy will be splitting time there.Y-Town Steelhound;812239 wrote:Does this mean JJ could be on his way out?

I just got home and checked the draftcast.
I wouldn't say Cleveland fucked it up....but IMO they did not do as well as they could have, but wtf do I know.
I'd take Williams/Knight any day over Irving/Thompson.

I'm not dissapointed but I'm def a little surprised with how the night has played out
I thought for sure that the Cavs would be making some moves tonight. I'm not sold on the Thompson pick, seems kind of strange to draft a player that you basically have already
Really surprised that they didnt find a way to use the TPE, it looks like that thing could go to waste. Also a little shocked that they didnt try to get back into the 1st round. I know that they really liked Brooks, thought they would have made a move to grab him, especially since he lasted all the way to 25.
With that being said, I'm really happy about the Irving pick, I think the kid will be a stud

We HAVE to use that trade exception. If not we really really f'd up. I'm bummed we've made no moves. There have to be some moves out there we could make.

They are going to hope that the appeal to have the TPE carry over to next year is granted, if not than the thing will go to waste.

Lol come on guys they're Not gonna waste the trade exemption..they ll use it somewhere along the lines...obviously they didn't want to waste it moving up in this draft cuz they felt there wasn't enough talent to be satisfied with..the exemption is huge, they're Not gonna waste it on marshoor brooks or jajuan Johnson

Grant has really screwed the pooch so far. Not sure what he is doing? And also not sure why they aren't using the trade exception. Do SOMETHING

I understand what you're saying but time is running out. There is no guarantee that it will be allowed to carry over to next season

Cavs taking the "1 4 all - all 4 1" motto literally.
Coming into the draft Cavs had major holes at the wing position. Coming out of the draft the Cavs have major holes at the wing position.

My god this is just fucking silly. There better be a major trade coming down the pike to get rid of the 65 surplus PF's the Cavs have.

Sessions and TPE for Rudy Gay. It'd never happen, just throwing something out there.KR1245;812281 wrote:I understand what you're saying but time is running out. There is no guarantee that it will be allowed to carry over to next season

If the lockout happens they will have even less time to get it done

Last thought before I'm outta here.....this is a rebuilding process people, its not gonna look pretty right away, just trust the management that they know what they're doing and are following the plan..they're not gonna wake up tomorrow and go oh shit we have too many PFs.

Hearing the Magic are working to acquire draft rights to Justin Harper from the Cavs. No deal yet. Magic would NOT lose the 53rd pick.
