Those who wanted David Lighty to be signed as a UDFA, he signed with Cantu. They are an Italian team that will play in the Euroleague next season.

That's what I'm getting at, most teams aren't right in the same area as an nba team. Not saying I don't like it, I'm glad the team is in Ohio. Just would have liked to to be further out. I've lived all over Ohio and it's sad how little interest there is in the Cavs outside of NEOhio. Guess that is part of the decision. I'd bet Sioux City is much bigger than Canton also.

Speaking of which, does anyone give one tiny shit about the Euroleague other than myself? I watched some games this past seasons on ESPN3 while working nights and its some good stuff. A lot of Americans who were decent college players and former foreign NBA players are over there so I did know some of who I was watching.

It'd be a losing bet. Sioux Falls metro population is 230,000 and Canton's is about 400,000

pretty sure you have wrong information. I believe Cleveland's population is only in the 400,000s

It may have been mentioned but I see the clowns over at ESPN are going to be doing some "The Decision: One year later" pieces on their network tomorrow. Sounds like they are going to try to justify why it was a "good idea." SMH

Yeah, wonder if they will be sending more news crews to local Cleveland bars to show that we are all "butt hurt" (gheyest phrase EVER).

Good question -- especially since David Lighty is signed to play for an Italian team. Said he got a six figure guaranteed contract. That's pretty good pay for just getting out of college. I'd still love to see the Cavs give him a shot, though, at some point.

Yeah. I've caught a few games. Speaking of Euro ball, sounds like Deron Williams may be heading over to Europe to play during the lockout

Would've been a great draw for the Covelli Center, but then again the Youngstown Pride didn't exactly get a lot of people at their games...

Lighty will get a shot eventually. But he needs some work offensively and he can do that overseas for a few yeas.

Time will tell.
It usually does. And it did. And dlazz was very wrong lol

1. Cleveland Cavaliers — Kyrie Irving, PG, Duke: I'll go on record right here saying I don't like this pick. Irving is probably going to be a good point guard, but you don't draft somebody No. 1 because they'll be good. You draft them to seriously alter the franchise's fortunes, and Irving doesn't do that. You're taking somebody with conditioning issues and letting him learn from Baron Davis, not exactly ideal. Irving lacks elite athleticism or elite shooting, and who's he going to pass to on that roster? I don't want to bash him too much, because he's a quality player -- I'm just not sold on him going No. 1 overall. Derrick Williams should have been the pick here -Eric Yearian
Yikes lol wonder if that guy still works for foxsports?

Well he clearly didn't watch Irving, ever. Cause he has been an elite shooter since High School. The only real knock was his health. Which, in fairness, has been a bit of an issue. Nothing else about his game really would've been a concern.

He also had conditioning issues up until LeBron came and made him cut that shit out.
