If the Kobe/Gasol/Kobe's wife rumors are true, he might want out of Los Angeles. Not that Minny would be a favorable destination though. Kevin Love & the #2 would likely help the Lakers get well REAL quick .

I dont trust that rumor at all. Love is younger and probably just as good. Plus the 2nd overall pick would be gratuitous. If Kahn makes that trade, he should be fired on the spot

Yes, I wouldn't put it past Kahn to do this trade with his pants down and him willingly bent over.
Dude is a joke.

If the Lakers get Derrick Williams and Kevin Love for Pau Gasol I'm going to go to Minny and kill Kahn.

I will buy your ticket haha. It wouldn't surprise me if the Wolves did that trade. Kahn has a lot to lose if Rubio sucks. Two top picks sandwiched around good players, and Kahn came away with Flynn and Rubio. He is probably banking on Gasol to help him progressIf the Lakers get Derrick Williams and Kevin Love for Pau Gasol I'm going to go to Minny and kill Kahn.

SMH. Just take Irving. The consensus among NBA teams is that Cleveland will select Duke freshman guard Kyrie Irving with the No. 1 pick in Thursday's draft.
But the Cavaliers aren't acting as if they've made a decision, and according to multiple sources, they are actively discussing a number of possibilities. They likely will go with Irving, but there are scenarios in which they might not.
The Cavaliers haven't told Irving that he is the No. 1 pick, and Arizona's Derrick Williams is a legitimate contender for the top spot.

You gotta love when teams overthink their pick. I'm trying to figure out the motive for leaking this to the media?http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2011/news/story?id=6676088

Perhaps they are trying to get teams thinking that if the Cavs aren't sold on Irving they can possibly trade up and acquire the #1 pick. The Cavs probably won't trade out of the top slot, but why not field offers from teams?
I really can't think of any other reason, but it'd be dumb to not take him.

I still want to see them get that 2nd pick and get both of them. I still stand by my thought of Williams/Knight being better than Irving/Kanter.

Why should Cleveland make it known they are taking Irving a week before the draft?
Let other teams ponder what you are going to do and just sit back.
Cleveland will be taking Irving and I think thats been locked up for some time now.

I can understand gamesmanship, but that usually comes from teams after the first pick.

They have the first and fourth. Did you ever consider that some teams might make their decisions based on who is taken off the board with those picks? SMH, at your simple thinking.

We're talking about the first pick, chief. They are saying they don't know who they are picking. We all know they are picking Irving. If they don't pick Irving or aren't sure yet, the organization is in big troubleEverybody knows who they are picking. I have no problem with them putting on this show. How do you know they are picking Irving? Are you an intern for their front office?

They could def go Williams or even a big like Kanter and try and take Knight with the #4 pick. Having options is key. Nice assumption fail.

No he's an expert because he heard it from Chad Ford on a 30 sec spot on Sports Center. You know the same Chad Ford that said that LBJ was going to Chicago because a waiter told him so in Chicago. LMAO.

Its pretty clear who the consensus number one guy is, and they need a PG. Plus it has been widely reported that they are picking him.
You guys are the ones eating up a silly report right now. Not me. I'm not sure why you are bringing up Chad Ford to me

I am not eating up anything. I believe it will be Irving, but I don't think it's 100% a sure thing. Nothing ever is.

I was just going to ask who you thought they were picking.
The NBA is becoming a PG league and you need somebody to handle Rondo and Rose. Plus they need a starting PG.
Williams is good, but you wonder if he'll develop a jumpshot. Plus what is he? Is he a PF or a 3? He's a little undersized.
Take Irving. It's a no brainer
