He had no legal requirement to keep any of that email confidential . . . . none.
The lawyer in question was not with the FBI, nor was he a prosecutor . . . . he was a former Buckeye player who has had his law license suspended in the past.
The lawyer didn't even mention confidentiality until the second email.
Tress responded to the emails by making statements that he was looking into or taking action on the matter . . . and he clearly forwarded it . . . both of which don't mesh with his stated fear and respect for the confidentiality of the communication.
Tress was the Athletic Director at YSU for years, he is clearly aware of the chain of command for reporting things like this at a university.
He covered this up so his guys remained eligible, and then lied to OSU when asked about it directly in December.
I'm a Ytown native, Cbus resident and OSU fan . . . but he screwed up big-time and needs to step down before the university is embarrassed further.
This ain't Auburn, this ain't Bama, this is Ohio State.
