Was just about to post this. Great story. LOL @ the part where he says their training isn't hardcore anymore, yet they take 100 mile daily bike trips through the AZ desert.

Yeah, that had me scratching my head too.

"training regularly for a 10 hour intense endurance event is unnatural, unsustainable, and in discordance with our biological evolutionary heritages."
No shit. Especially for someone in their 50's.

Picked up about 200 lbs of grassfed beef today from Whitefeather's. Also got a new toy....an ice cream maker. Will be making Paleo coconut ice cream a little later.

Dropped another jean size this morning. I'm tapped out. It's the lowest size I have. Will have to go purchase new jeans from now on. A size 32 at 227 lbs isn't too shabby.

Still too high but I've dropped about 8% since going Paleo in late January.
EDIT: Actually didn't get to use the ice cream maker last night. Didn't realize you had to freeze the bowl for 16-24 hours so that will be on tap tonight.
For the ladies....lift HEAVY weights. This "I will get all big & bulky" stuff is a bunch of BS...

That ice cream was friggin awesome. I took ON's Casein Chocolate Peanut Butter protein powder, 2/3rd cup Stevia, 1 cup coconut milk, 2 cups heavy cream, 2 whole eggs and some vanilla, put it in the ice cream maker and let it do it's work. Twenty-five minutes later it was done but I put the container in the freezer to hard pack. Two hours later it was good to go. Topped with slivered almonds and some shredded unsweetened coconut.

Yep. Saw that. Robb Wolf trashes the Hell out of that ranking on a few of his podcasts. I'm down almost 40 lbs and have actually DECREASED my workouts so there's gotta be something to it...at least for me.

I love this quote "A true Paleo diet might be a great option: very lean, pure meats, lots of wild plants. The modern approximations … are far from it."
If someone is following a "true Paleo" way of eating they are getting grassfed/wild caught meats & fish and ARE eating "lots of wild plants." Epic FAIL by these so called "experts."

You've lost 50 on Paleo? That's EXCELLENT ! I'm down about 62-65 lbs (4 week weigh in this Saturday) with about 40 of that since I've been Paleo.

Yup 225 to less than 175 now. Combined with 1 round of P90x and now an adhoc workout routine of P90x, random weight lifting and crossfit.

Nice! I'm probably going to stop at about an 80 lb weight loss and just maintain from there. I'd feel uncomfortable under 200 lbs.

Br, ever heard of Les Mill's Body Pump classes? I've been going 3 times a week for 3 weeks and it's really made a hugh difference.

Overall drop of 12.6% bodyfat since Paleo.
