Miyagi says..." take bodyfat measurement after you eat all that wedding cake from the renewal of the vows ceremony you will no doubt be attending" probably no coconut ice cream there

Nice !

The intermittent fasting has been going great. Have set a goal to drop 10 more lbs & 5% bf over the next 12 weeks. May not sound like much but I'm winding down the weight loss thing.

I need to get into more weight training and more ARX to finish off the 6 pack. I have only been doing cross fit type outdoor exersizes for the last couple of weeks and the weekend weddings/get togethers this summer are stalling progress. I have definately not regressed my progression has just slowed.

My workout the other day was 35 yard bear crawl 35 yard lunges and 35 yard sprint. For as many reps as possible in 20 minutes. The workouts are fun and good, but I need to lift heavier things.

This StrongLifts5x5 program has allowed me to scale back my cardio (strictly walking) now considerably. These 30-35 minute weight workouts are burning between 550-700 calories a pop. Plus it's lifting very heavy almost every workout so I'm shedding fat, not muscle...especially with the use of the BCAA's.

Do you do a fasted or nonfasted workout? I wasn't sure if I should get the BCAA's because I would be doing a nonfasted workout around 5:30pm or so.

I eat twice a day. Once at noon, once at around 8pm. I then fast (8pm-12pm (noon)...16 hours) until the next day. I train, fasted, at 4:30am. When I wake up I drink 10g's Xtend BCAA's. After my workout I drink more BCAA's, creatine & glutamine. Around 9:30am I drink more BCAA's. This "feeds" the body without breaking the fast. My two meals are typically anywhere from 1000-1500 calories each.

Haha...I "guinea pigged" myself on Saturday night. I have been eating strictly for 5+ months and planned on having a carb "refeed" as an experiment to see how my body reacted. My girlfriend took me to dinner as a belated Father's Day deal and I decided afterward "let's see how Coldstone Creamery makes my body react after consistently taking in <50g's carbs daily for almost 6 months."

Bad idea. At first the "Coffee Lover's Only" ice cream tasted SO good. An hour later my stomach felt like World War III was going on in it. Didn't gain any weight or bodyfat but I won't be doing THAT again.

I have done a sugar or alcohol binge every other weekend it seems this summer. Some have gone better than others. Usually if wheat is involved its bad. Straight sugar isn't quite as bad.

This was bad. I wasn't puking or anything but you could tell my systems was rejecting it. So last night I made my own ice cream out of casein protein, shredded coconut, coconut milk & chopped up pieces of 85% dark chocolate. Much better (on the stomach).

I don't eat breakfast. I do a 8/16 Feed/Fast. So I eat first at 11am and stop at 7pm. When I was eating breakfast it was 2 eggs and meat(Ham, Steak, Sausage etc..) Or an omlette with meat and veggies.

Don't eat breakfast either. The "it's the most important meal of the day" stuff is pretty much unfounded bullshit. Nothing wrong with eating breakfast but that statement is a fallacy. I eat my first meal of the day at noon and my last at 8pm, fasting between 8pm and noon the next day.

"Breakfast", as in "breaking the fast", for me today is a pound of chicken, a huge salad with EVOO & Balsamic and a hard boiled egg.

Very pleased that Whitefeather Meats is now repping their product at the Alliance Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Now all I have to do is call in an order and they will bring it 10 minutes away for pickup. Got some pork & chicken this morning.

I think I'm hitting the wall with the 5x5. Squatting 5's 3x's a week is taking it's toll. Will be likely switching to a Wendler 5/3/1 next Saturday after my 4 week weigh in/bodyfat measurement.

EDIT: Purchased Wendler's 5/3/1 e-book last night and will be starting it on Saturday.

Started the Wendler program this morning. Me likey. Can see constant gains with this. So far, so good with the bench press (left shoulder) but the weights were lighter.

Lost 4 pounds since my last weigh-in! Lost 68 pounds so far, 43 since going Paleo.

Is there any book on the paleo diet or website out of the tons out there that anyone would recommend? I am looking to start some sort of change from eating the same garbage all the time. I'm not sure how "right" the paleo diet would be for me but I would like to look into it. The only real problem is I could never follow any "diet" strictly being 25 and wanting to drink, but I could stick to the eating part.

This is why I don't follow any diets closely but instead try to eat reasonably well and generally stay fit. At 21 (22 Sunday) I like to drink which isn't really condusive to a diet.
