There will be enough time to rest (almost a week) before they play that first NCAA tourney game -- so I want them to win the BTT.

These guys are used to playing a couple games in the same DAY while on the AAU circuit, so I honestly don't believe fatigue is a factor. They are getting more rest in the regular season than they do during the summers; and I think Matta has this team in excellent physical shape, as he typically does all his teams coming down the stretch.

Just looking at those lists, of the teams that lost the conference tourney...how many were in the finals, thus not getting any extra rest anyway?

Syracuse didn't make it (lost to UCONN, who lost to Pitt).
Maryland lost in semi's
UNC ('05) lost in semi's
UNC ('09) lost in semi's

So all 4 champs who didn't win conference tourney lost in the semis. I don't think the extra day of rest helped them, because all 4 were conference 1 seeds and got upset by 4 seeds and in most years I wouldn't find that surprising, especially in deep conferences like the ACC.
