Its official East Canton will join the IVC starting the 2013-2014 school year. The choice was between Indian Valley and East Canton. Indian Valley had the historical ties, but the size of their school played a deciding role.

I would not have liked to see IV back. but EC will be a welcomed addition. They will be far more competitive in most sports than Conotton Valley.

So is Connotton Valley going to another league or independent?

They are going back the OVAC.

Conotton Valley never relinquished their membership in the OVAC. They were disqualified from participation in OVAC playoffs because their schedule did not allow them to play enough OVAC members. If they schedule enough members next year they will be qualifiers for OVAC playoffs. Likely that is what they will do.
