Politically, I know what kind of person you are. I have friends like you and I'm like you to a certain extent. Question everything, don't trust/believe everything you hear. The government isn't a happy little group of people who loves us. Whatever, you get what I'm saying. The thing is, just asking questions doesn't make you some free thinking intellectual snob. It doesn't mean your brain is processing faster than others. I think you'll probably still understand what I'm saying. You have to ask the RIGHT questions. You know what september is saying--you're implying that he wants government regulation on who can speak at a university of some bogus shit like that. But come on, you aren't stupid. It's certainly a bit of a conflict of interests when you host one of your countries worst enemies and welcome him with open arms.
How is it a conflict of interests? All a university is interested in is learning. We can learn from our enemies maybe even better than we can from our friends.
I don't think he wants government regulation on who can speak at universities and I wasn't trying to imply that. But what he said sounds like he thinks that a university shouldn't be allowed to accept federal funds if they have a specific person speak on their campus. I think that's not a good way of thinking.
And like I've said, the people should have been respectful of this veteran, not only because he's a veteran but because he was speaking at an assembly or something that they decided to go to. It's simply rude to shout down anyone and almost never makes your opinion or group of people look more intelligent or right. It almost always has the opposite effect.
