Want to see true winners and losers? Go check out some High School district wrestling matches in your area today and tomorrow.
If you like that sort of thing. I do.
One thing we can agree on.

Hell, I work what I consider a non-real person job right now and I make more than minimum wage (not much).

Who has said that? I don't think anyone talks about how crappy it is. You may think it's crappy, but that is your opinion.Gblock;691716 wrote:well everyone here keeps talking about how crappy life is without one and how bad they have it and could be fired at any time and how little they are paid.
I don't see anyone trying to do so?then in the next sentence say how we should be excited to negotiate for ourselves and call us scared. you cant have it both ways.
I can only tell you from experience with the AFGE, but people will do the bare minimum once they get into the Union. The non-union employees were PIP'd if they performed like the AFGE employees, but because of the CBA, the AFGE employees could get away with doing bare minimum.also i was thinking these "Bad Employees" who hired them? the union didnt. even after being hired they made it worse by letting them get in the union after a year of teaching....so if they were bad they should be fired after one year before getting in the union. these are the same people you want to put in charge on a yearly basis for evaluating every teacher every year. they obviously by your admission dont do a good job of it. they are where your problem lies more than the union because even with our union you can fire someone with the proper documentation which only requires more effort on the administrator to collect. who here has said how exciting it is to be out in the private sector negotiating for themselves.
look back through the posts...no positive experiences posted about self promotion...only gripes about benefits, salary and hours worked...plenty of posts saying that we should look forward to negotiate as an indivdual and also posts painting us as scaredLJ;691721 wrote:Who has said that?
