He didn't last long enough against Pittsburgh yesterday to make it to the plate, so the Nats probably felt he was due.

Been waiting 20 years to get a Pirates based slam. Congrats!

Smart move. A month ago, Pittsburgh promoted Curry to AA (he was the one guy with better numbers than Harper in their A league, but is four years older, so he's not a prospect on the same level) and he's been up-and-down at AA (was down around .220, but now is in the .260s with decent production). AA will be good for Harper to get some legit seasoning and experience the ups and downs more than he will at any A level.

Wily Mo just hit a BOMB against the brewers. Not as far as Phillips last year there. But still a bomb

I was actually going to head to harpers first game tonight in Harrisburg and catch the fireworks, but it is completely sold out.

Chipper doesn't deserve to be on the All Star roster. It is definitely an honorary type addition.

Lol....it was more to LCF and went over the Harley Davidson deck about 35 feet or so above the near LCF fence. During the flight of the ball and the HR call....the announcer started laughing at where this ball was going....the camera also caught Prince Fielder in disbelief.

Hey Prince....sign me up for the derby! That would be great.

Who do you put in over him? He is having a better year than Polanco who was voted to start.

It happens every single year....but in this case mo one got snubbed because no one is even close to a no doubt pick. Over the years we have had Reggie Jackson and his .191 average voted in and we have had 104 RBI Juan Gonzalez not voted in to start.

This guy has not played in the majors in 3 years and after 39 AB he has 5 HR and 4 of them over 440 ft.

He hit it and the video showing Prince just staring at where that ball went.....please choose him.

I got no issue with Chipper, mainly cause he just called out bad umpiring.

lol, horrible calls to end the game. Didn't cost them the game, just the opportunity to win it. I was more pissed at Fredi for not arguing at all. Bobby would have lost his mind for sure and Fredi doesn't even react.

He was absolutely right as well. I dont really get to upset with umpires cause for the most part they are very consistent and know what they are doing. But when it is too end the game, and on back to back pitches, its a little bit upsetting. You always have in the back of your mind "well he wanted to get back to the hotel"

He's also a rookie ump and was staring Chipper down after the 3-1 pitch as well as the final pitch, just waiting for some reaction so he could toss him. Not very professional IMO. I could also understand if he was giving that pitch or something close to it all game, but he wasn't.

The only stat Polanco has the advantage in is batting average.

Like I said before, no one stands out at 3rd in the NL. If you think Polanco gets voted in to start if he is on any other team besides Philadelphia, you are drunk again.

Also runs, hits, and has less strike outs.

Why is that? Because this year in the NL he has been the best starting 3rd baseman since Wright and Zimmerman have been hurt.
