I don't think he will be overlooked by anyone. But he wont have to face teams #1 and #2. Teams around the league know the guy is capable of.

I know that he won't be overlooked; however if he puts up some ungodly numbers like an 18-3 or 19-4 or 20 win season with only a couple of losses I think that a majority of people will discount the fact taht these wins probably come against #3's, 4's and 5's instead of 1's and 2's like it has been the last couple of years

Anybody else think that like_that and COA are the same person? If not, they definitely seem to have some sort of "interesting" relationship. They are perpetually following each other around to threads and trumpeting each other's thoughts.

Chipper took grounders today for the first time. Said he will be full go for workouts in a couple days but will probably sit out the first week of games.

Wow. You know exactly what I was "insinuating"? That's an impressive skill there.

I was actually saying that you guys must be college buddies with nothing better to do all day than run amok on message boards. People with jobs don't have time to just squat on the board and post all day and all night.

I guess I thought you guys were the same poster because you have the same posting style. Both of you rarely post original thoughts and 90% of the time you are either "pwning" somebody or calling them an idiot.

I don't get this sentiment, that his wins came against 4's and 5's. On one hand who is pitching doesn't really matter as far as Cole goes. If he pitches well he's going to have a good chance to win regardless of who he's pitching against. Conversely if he pitches like crap then he'll most likely lose not matter what. Second with teams playing staggered schedules it doesn't always happen that a teams #1 pitches against another teams #1, or a 4 vs a 4. I know that pitching later in the rotation might maybe swing his W/L by a win or two but if he wins 18 or more games it will be because he pitched great all season.

of course he will have pitched great. But I also think that because of him being bumped down he'll get an additional 3-4 wins in which he could give up 4 or 5 runs and still get a W because his offense pounds it out against someone's 3 4 or 5

His contract is through 2012. I'd think if he can have a productive year he'll be back next year too.
