Forgot to mention that I was going to get a St. Bernardus ABT 12 as well but they ran out of it. That was my only complaint. Oh, also forgot to list that tried Delirium Tremens as well.

A sign of Spring here in Southwestern Ohio. Oberon has hit the shelf. The Wife picked some up in principle, since it seems like it's a rite of passage.

Oberon, Ommegang Hennepin, and Three Floyd's Alpha King this weekend for me. All good choices.

Actually tried this. It was a little light, and I felt like they "cheated" on the complexity a little bit. Don't get me wrong, still much better than your average lager, but I can probably think of a few I like more. Then again, I'm not really a lager guy.
That's the beauty of beer, though. Everyone has different tastes, but no matter your preference, there is true quality beer out there to hit the spot.

There was a Lums here in Fairfield back in the 70's. I believe they used to beer steam their hot dogs. I remember my Dad eating a big old dog with sauerkraut and I thought that was nasty back then.Belly35;732526 wrote:Anyone remember Lums Restaurants ... Hot dogs, Coney and Beers of all Nations

What ??? The good beer has taken over the Walgreen's Beer Thread. SMHFALLSGUY;732615 wrote:C'mon guys. Thats like POC,or Hudy. If you are going to pickle your liver at least do it with some top shelf stuff.
I did see where Avery Brewing are producing some beers in cans. It just caught my eye yesterday then I went to my beer/wine place. (Jungle Jims) I looked up and there was the IPA on the shelf. Right next to that was the Brown Ale and the White Rascal. Now that it's getting warmer I'll have to pick up some White Rascal.
Has anyone tried the Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout ??? I saw that yesterday, but passed on it for now. Weird since I'm a Stout man and was more in a mood for Ciders and Hops at the time. I guess it was the weather being so nice. I'll grab some next time I'm there and report back if I don't hear anything.

Can't argue there, never been disappointed with anything I've had of theirs.

Damn good Brewery. The Wife really likes their Hop Sun. We picked up a 6 pack the other day as it's finally out this year. Lord knows how many we will buy over the summer as it's her go to beer if she's looking for a wheat beer.Wooball;734592 wrote:Can't argue there, never been disappointed with anything I've had of theirs.
I have several of their Black Water Series aging. The Wife gave a year old bottle of Jahva to a friend of hers today, for her birthday...that and a bottle of Junior Johnson's Moonshine.

Think I still have a bottle of Earl Pitts beer.
Bought it 12-15 years ago at a small place at Miami University in Oxford. Saw it on top of a shelf and it had been there so long the box was even fading! It was pretty sweet tasting, but probably from sitting for so long. May have to see if it survived the move a few months ago.
