Saw this post and I forgot I got a bottle of it in the fridge that I bought on Wednesday. It has been years since I have had it. (since Three Floyds polled out of Ohio) I was looking forward to trying this again. Well, I was kinda disappointed as it felt kinda thin and watery on the palate for an Imperial IPA. There was nothing there that made it 'Wow' as I even think the Green Flash West Coast IPA was hopped up more than this. Then I had their Black Sun Stout...even a bigger disappointment. Just couldn't get all the described flavors. Maybe the IPA blew my palate and I didn't know it. I was burping those IPA hops while having the stout. I know they put out some great beers, but I'm not feeling them lately after they started getting their bombers back in Ohio. I'd still love to get my hands on some Dark Lord Day. That would more than make up for it.

I'm currently having a Rochefort 10 and it's tasting fiiiiine, so I think my palate wasn't off by much.

I do like Green Flash's West Coast IPA.

Had a bomber of Lagunitas Hop Stoopid and a bottle of Stone Ruination the other day as part of a "more hops more hops" theme.

Saragnac winter sampler was good. Chocolate lager was very nice.

I have yet to try anything from Saragnac. Maybe it's their labels that put me off. I should have learned my lesson about labels when it came to Two Hearted.

BTW, the Stone Belgo Anise Stout will stand up after drinking a Rochefort 10...The Wife went to bed and I have the whole Bomber to myself.

Saragnac's vanilla porter is nice and I liked the Big Moose Ale.

I thought the Chocolate Lager was very good as well. None of the other's in the sampler were above average. The Vanilla Stout was weak, which fine with me, but my drinking buddy was disappointed.

Went to Erik's today in north canton, nice little grocery and beer store. Good selection then to barrel room wine and beer bar for a beer, really nice place.

Well I had the Sam Adams Infinium Christmas Eve. Can't really tell you that much about it as my cousin had plastic cups to drink out of and man did that cause it to have a huge head. From what I could tell it was good in flavor for drinking it out of a plastic cup. I have 3 more bottles of it, 2 in the fridge so I definitely will try it again. As a side note it says it should be drank before July of 2012. I will try this one again, take notes, and report back.

Tonight I busted out the St. Bernardus Christmas Ale. Very nice ale. Dark, full flavor, large tight bubbled head. I picked up a little bit of pepper in it. It does have a slight fruity tartness on the finish. Maybe cherryish in flavor, which is nice. Very solid and complex beer...not that surprising coming from St Bernardus after all.

Had a dogfish chicory stout on tap at the lizard today. Very mild drinkable stout. I thought it was good. Had 3 philosophers again and it was excellent.

When I was picking up beer/wine Christmas Eve on our way to a party I saw bottles of this. Wanted to pick it up but was buying a ton of Celebration Ale and didn't want do drop another $20 then. Might try and grab one this weekend.

I almost picked up a bottle of something made by Stone Brewery. I cannot recall which it was but I know it was a little out of what I am comfortable paying for a bottle of anything without trying it first. So I just picked up a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel ale.

Had this a couple of weeks ago. Not bad, but thought it was overspiced. I still prefer GLBC Christmas Ale over anything. (although its consistency could be improved)

You can never go wrong with Stone. I can't recall one I've never liked from them.

I've not had a bad beer from Stone.

Probably my favorite brewery; beers are amazing. Probably had La Roja the most, good amount of sourness to it. I would rank it somewhere in the middle as far as their beers, but very good.

Tastes almost nothing like beer. It reminded me of a flaming Dr. Pepper.
