Not to worry, the SC legislature rammed this through and it passed. Should mean that Stone brewery and restaurant will be coming to somewhere in SC (myrtle beach area or possibly Greenville). I will definitely be making a trip as soon as it opens. This law should also make SC one of the best homes for breweries on the East Coast.iclfan2;1617095 wrote:Also, fuck Anheuser Busch. For those that don't know, sc is trying to pass a bill to attract brew pubs, in particular stone. Nothing in this law is something tht shouldn't have been allowed 20 years ago (prohibition era laws). AB wrote a letter to SC congress to complain. I'm so pissed (I love Busch light) but fuck them. http://www.scribd.com/mobile/doc/224630184#fullscreen

The Dark Lord had risen! Very nice complex stout, highly rated, glad I had the chance to partake in one of the rare ones.

I hate GL Xmas. St. Bernardus, Delirium Noel, Crosendonk for me. We already set the date for our Christmas in July and have those set back.

Saw two 4 packs on the shelf yesterday, decided to grab one. Actually will be my first time having it, have heard mixed feelings on it though.Curly J;1623204 wrote:Anyone else grab any Devil Dancer yet ?

An afternoon bomber of Avery Maharaja. Top notch and full of hops. At 10.2% It packs a wallop, but hides it well.
I'd give it a 4.6 out of 5. ( i gave Hopslam a 4.7 )
I'm going back to buy 4 more. 2to drink and to throw down in the beer cave,

Understandable. I first had it years ago when it was 13%. Bought it in Kentucky since the ABV laws in Ohio suck. Solid beer IMO. Had 3 of them today with The Wife.BORIStheCrusher;1623479 wrote:Saw two 4 packs on the shelf yesterday, decided to grab one. Went to lauginitas brewery today after a hike. Fun atmosphere, but super crowded. Sort of had a tourist trap vibe to it. Not the experience I was expecting, prob due to the crowds. Beer was great though.

Drinking my first now and am pretty unimpressed with it. Way too boozy for a DIPA (or even a TIAP as Devil Dancer states) and the flavor profile just tastes 'off'. Not a horrible beer, but glad I didn't buy both 4 packs. I may let a couple age for a bit to let the hops mellow and see if it brings out more of a Barleywine and that makes it better.Curly J;1623570 wrote:Understandable. A few years ago I had "Looking Glass" from Founders, which was Devil Dancer aged in Brandy barrels. I didn't love it.
A+ on the name though. Took me like an hour after I left the beer fest to get it.
