Well my little beer club brought out some big guns tonight. Had black note and Agave Maria. Both were fantastic. Would bang again.

Hell yeah it is.

Had my last BA black out stout from 2013, then had a brown shugga. Both were excellent though the blackout stout was obv the show stopper. Way more barrel coming though for me now than fresh when I was getting a ton of chocolate. For "only" 9%, the alcohol makes itself known.

Looks sweet, I plan on doing something like that with my caps.

Just picked up a bottle of Mirror Mirror and a 6 pack of Fat Heads session ale.

The Mad Anthony Bent Rim Black Lager was incredible. It had a charred taste to it. Not sure if you guys can get it in your area. Not sure how far they sell out of Ft. Wayne.

Anyone have any suggestions for beers to try while I'm in Wilmington, NC this week? Anything I should be on the lookout for?

Some westbrook brews. Esp their Gose if it's hot. (found this pic on google, so you know what it looks like. It's supposed to be awesome.)

Lost Abbey Serpent Stout for my tonight, pretty chocolatey. I'm enjoying it.

Trying to set up a tour with a buddy of mine where we do stand-up in taprooms at breweries all over Ohio. We're calling it the "Taproom Takeover Comedy Tour." Looking like we have an in at Rust Belt Brewery in Youngstown, and I have a few emails out to breweries here in Cincy. But if you guys know of any good taprooms that we could contact, it would be awesome.

I found a site that has a ton of the breweries with taprooms listed. But without being able to see some of the rooms, it is difficult to know if the places are cool places to be or not. So any help would be appreciated!

I know Weasel Boy Brewery in Zanesville has bands and whatnot all the time. Check them out. Pretty popular place I'm told, and the pizza is really good.

May want to check out JAFB in Wooster. Haven't been their yet but it looks to have a pretty large taproom. I keep meaning to stop there when I visit.

Good tip. Just checked their website, which led me to their Instagram, and it looks like they have entertainment in the taproom fairly often. Thanks!

If you want some local breweries to check out that you can't really get outside the city:

Half Acre
Pipeworks
Une Annee
Spiteful
Haymarket

Half Acre has a taproom, you can order food for delivery but they don't have food there. Revolution, I'm not a huge fan of their beers but they have good food at their restaurant.
