I wouldn't say that at all. Pallet Wrecker is more of a super bitter west coast IPA. Hopslam is really sweet. (Both are amazing in different ways)

I don't say this very often ...

Fuck you, asshole.

I've got until February 1st, and you're buying cases.

I didn't even know they sold Hopslam in cases. It'll be gone by the time I can drink any.

Damn a double post. I'm on it.

The best way I've found is to reheat it in a skillet on a stove, but I will eat it cold.

To get this, I gave a FSW XV. Solid deal, looking forward to Backwoods Bastard!

Backwoods Bastard tastes almost EXACTLY like my favorite brew. Make sure you enjoy it with a clean palate and no beer in you already.

Nice cross-burning going on on your computer screen.

Backwoods Bastard is awesome.

Fire from a rafting trip. No crosses were harmed in the making of that photograph.

Didn't have much in the fridge so I said fuck it and pulled Double Bastard and my last Founders Imperial Stout off the shelf. Planning on picking up some Hopslam tomorrow as well.

Does anybody ever mix beers? I've heard of people doing it with good results. So tonight I mixed Revolution's Eugene porter with a White Rajah and the result is fantastic. Almost like a Black IPA now.....getting the flavors of both, although the White Rajah seems to be the more potent of the two.

I've thought about it before, but I was always too scared to ruin good beer and creating something that is only okay.

I like to every once and a while. I'm thinking Hopslam and Founders Imperial Stout will make one hell of a black and tan...

Yep, at beer fest years ago. Kentucky Bourbon Ale and Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. Queen's Silk was what it was called...and I didn't try it. As both are over rated.

Agreed on the Vanilla Porter.

KBA isn't anything too special EXCEPT when you age it. I had a sixer that was a year old, and it was de-fucking-licious.

Cool that. I just refuse to age it. Not my slice of pie. Too Fake for me.

I've never liked Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, and it annoys me even more because its fucking EVERYWHERE. But I'm curious that they came out with Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout.....has anyone tried it?

Fair enough. I actually didn't age it. It was stashed in a back corner of a refrigerated beer cave. Asked the beer guy about it, and he said it had been there for over a year. It tasted nothing like it normally does (which is quite disappointing once you've had it aged).

Not impressed with KBA, tastes to fake, like it's trying to be bourbon.

I've mixed beer beforre with great results. When I went home back in Nov, mixed Founders Breakfast Stout with pumpkin beers. Results were fantastic.
