I'm out in Colorado so I'll be having some of the regional and local brews. Right now I'm having a New Belgium Abbey. Very nice Belgium Style Ale. I recommend it if you ever find it.

The Wife is having some New Belgium Ranger. It tastes like a decent IPA.

Drink the hell out of some Left Hand while you're out there.

Ok then. Didn't know if the stores around you had it. Though I'd still probably have some of the milk stout if it's on tap anywhere you go. That shit is delicious.

Now I've never had anything from Left Hand on tap. That I will try to do as it would be better.

Yea the store that I go to has a vast amount of beers. If it is above 12%, I just head across the river into Kentucky and try to find it. I believe you can get New Belgium in Indiana.

I picked up some LH milk stout a few weeks ago and you are right.....it is damn good.

I tried it on the behest of a friend. I have to admit, I was expecting it to be sold more on state loyalty than anything.

But it's a pretty damn-good Imperial IPA. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty good. It had a LOT of citrus flavor. My only complaint was that it seemed to settle really lightly.

In essence, take the taste quality of something about like Double Trouble, but give it the heartiness of Bud Light, and that's what you've got in this.

Enjoying the Stone/Ballast Point collaboration San Diego County Session Ale and holy hops. Only 4.2% abv, and a lot of DIPAs aren't this hoppy. Very piney, could have just named it Ruination Light. Next I've got some Green Flash West Coast IPA, Stone Levitation Ale, Smuttynose Shoals Pale Ale, and Great Lake Lake Erie Monster.

Also liking my new glass.

I haven't seen that beer yet Boris, but I'll look for it. I'll also have to try that Shoals Pale Ale. I've never tried that, but you mention it a lot. I don't drink much Pale Ales.

Finishing off the NB Abbey tonight. Might sneak on a Ranger. I may crash before that. I was up at 7 am this morning. I usually don't get up until 11 am or 2 pm, depending on how much I drink. The life of a night owl...

I've had nothing today but Sam Adams' Boston Lager and Heineken.

Over the past couple years Stone has been making collaborations with other good breweries and they sell them in singles. I'm pretty sure ones they have done have been with Alesmith, Jolly Pumpkin, Ballast Point, and a few others as well. Here is what they look like. It lists the breweries on the labels so you know who all made it too.

Don't know if you have access to Smuttynose (just got it last summer here in Toledo), but highly recommend it if you do. I know what you mean about pale ales, but there are some great ones like Shoals, Sierra Nevada, and now the Stone San Diego County Session Ale (which tastes like a DIPA).

Now after having the SD County Session Ale, I wanted to try and get my hands on a couple others and managed to get Juxtaposition Black Pilsner, Stone's collaboration with Brewdog and Cambridge Brewing, and their Belgian Style Tripel Ale with Alesmith and Mikkeller.

I've had a few of their collaborations, just never the Session Ale. I haven't seen it at the store either,but will look for it. I like that they do that with different breweries. They say that's the brewing equivalent of star musicians getting together for a jam session.

Looks like it is going to be more of a NB day. Having their Trippel right now. It's golden in color as compared to their Abbey and this in has a hint of coriander. Not to bad, but I prefer the dark Abbey. This Trippel, with the heat today will go down very well I'm sure. We picked up some 1554, a Black Ale, and a 12 pack of Fat Tire (in cans).

I also grabbed an Alaskan Brewery Amber (bomber). I've read about them in a few beer magazines...all good stuff. The clerk said that's about all he's drinking these days. I'll probably go back while I'm here and try some more since its not available back home.

I was surprised that I've seen more Colorado beers back home than here. Then again I've only been to 2 liquor stores. We still have to hit up The Liquor Barn...yes that is the name of the place. I've been there before and they have a huge selection.

Just read that Ohio is proposing increasing the abv limit on beer from 12% up to 18%. Hope like hell this passes, would bring in tons of awesome beers.

Went to winking lizards last night. Had the New Dogfishhead Zeno ale http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/10099/59588 not bad, 1 was enough. Also had Lake Erie monster (good), Thristy dogs Whippet Wheat good also http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/12516/58314. Had a couple of other of the summer beers as well but the Lake Erie Monster was the best for me.

Read that in the Cincy Paper. Also saw where Hudepohl brewery is pushing for it too. (on Face Book) Even though they don't have any high ABV beers.

Okay Boris, I just got back from Colorado and I had my First Shoals tonight, correction on my Third tonight. DAMN good Pale Ale. Nice middle of the road and tasty. By middle of the road I mean not over hopped like the Sierra Nevada and not as mild as Anderson Valley Poleeko Gold. Just and great flavored beer and I like that's it's darkish in color. I will get this more often. Get this, I found it at our local Convenient Store (Haji-Mart) just down the road from my house. They have a decent selection of beers. I grabbed the Shoals and some Bear Republic Hop Rod. Was wanting the DFH 90 Minute, which they usually carry, but they were out too.

Nice, glad you like it. I'm having it as my main beer among a few other greats at my wedding party next weekend. Well you're one ahead of me, I'm only on number two (I started the night off with Green Flash West Coast IPA). Also good call on the Hop Rod, awesome beer.
