I agree with the 4th qtr question but what should Norwayne do? You cant play your 1's in the 4th if your up by 40 or 50 pts. Conditioning becomes a major problem when you do play somebody good. I'm sure they'll get work against Waynedale, Smithville and Hillsdale but they have Rittman this week. If you go 4 or 5 games playing only 3 qtrs I say that's a problem. It could cost them a close game down the road.

I was floored to see that article in the paper that Dorksen wrote. I can't believe they are writing about an Orrville - Norwayne match up 4 games into the season. There's a lot of work to do for both teams before that could ever take place

I said this about a month ago. What a great event it would be. Trust me, we don't take ANY opponent lightly, especially those who have earned their shot in the post-season. IMO, it IS a concern to be able to crush your regular season opponents and not have your starters play a full game. That's where Orrville has the advantage with SOS. Ask Genoa.

Nice avatar......totally inappropriate.....but nice.

On Orrville/Norwayne.....waay to soon for that.
Now Orrville/Ashland or Norwayne/Hillsdale.....those are going to happen and they should be very interesting.

By far the best WCAL game this week is Smithville/Waynedale......
Can Waynedales defense stop the Smithie running attack?
I'm predicting a lower scoring game (under 40) by recent WCAL standards.

I think Waynedale and Smithville will be too much for each other and the person with the ball last will win. I'm thinking both teams will be in the 40's

Excuse me, but how is it inappropriate? It's an actual production studio's emblem.

Well then.....

Here's a nice litmus test....

Have T-shirts with the pen is land emblem made up.....emblem front and back. Then have your mother, wife and children wear them to the kiddies next award banquet.

the resulting comments generated at said function should indeed tell you if they are appropriate for a "G" rated atmosphere like we have here on the OC high school football threads.

Okay, gentlemen, this lady has a question. After 4 games this weekend, 2 hs and 2 college, I have seen quite a lot of pass interference calls. What exactly constitutes pass interference? I was told that almost any time the defender tries to catch the ball from behind the receiver it will be called. But then I saw that happen today and it wasn't? I'm thinking it may be very much in the eye of the official beholding it? And if the defender can go for the ball and the ball is near the receiver isn't it somewhat inevitable that the two moving bodies will collide?

That's a loaded question, mompov

If you have the time, google it. You will get some incredibly long explanations....sometimes with video clips pointing out why.

Me....I tend to think it varies quite a bit from official to official and the angle they view it from.

sorry I couldn't be more helpful..........

and calling the posters on this thread gentlemen is really stretching it.:)

Yeah it really differs between officials and at what level you are watching......even though they use basically the same rules.

I know this is wikipedia, but it does give some good examples and explanations. Hope that helps.

I have such a T-shirt, and have worn it to church. My wife doesn't have one, but I'd get her one if she'd wear it.

Yes, I'm sure the guy who designed it to be a play on words. However, he did so knowing that minds like yours and mine would take it that way, not because it's actually designed inappropriately.

In short, the logo and name aren't inappropriate. You and I are inappropriate.

Here is an example:

Norwayne up by 40 points in the 3rd quarter, starters still in, they just scored, and kick an onside kick. Go score, and kick another on side kick....unreal.

1st If a team is using racial slurs then I can understand the players being upset furthermore teams that usually play well are accused of having an attitude and not demonstrating sportsmanship.
2nd How are you to condition the first team for an entire game if you do not let them play at least part (1/2 of the 3rd quarter) of the second half. The cats will need this at some point in time this season.
3rd Onside kick? Gerber had the same ball placement the entire game!! Shame on Thut for not adjusting.

So you wear your beachware to church, or do you just stop off at church on the way to the beach ;)

I have to say Otrap, you have a pair for wearing that shirt to church lol.

Now depending on the type of church you go to, some or almost all people wouldn't get the joke, but still I would imagine their were a few people that were laughing inside about it.

Oh, I know that those who noticed the shirt got it. They didn't seem offended, at all, but then, they were all fairly young.
