Seriously, I envy Loudonville and their schedule. SEVEN of their ten opponents are currently 3-0! Talk about a second-level point fest!riders1;898029 wrote:When has the WCAL had 4 teams go 0-3 and 0-4 to start a season? I don't think this has ever happened before, I wish I still had that Wayne County football history book, it would be interesting to see.
Last year 3 teams started 0-4.

I know there are a lot of schools that are doing one day of pads... two tops.... If you got the kids to do it with, I'd do it every week. It's tough though to get high school kids to understand THUD ball, especially at the lower division levels where the competition for jobs isn't always up for grabs every week.thedemoralizer7;897195 wrote:i wouldnt doubt it! i have not seen a practice but i have heard they only go full pads 1 day out of the week!!! how are you going to get any better when you can only go half speed because your not in full pads?! his son (the qb) i also heard just stands around during defensive practice. maybe he should be doing some drills that involve throwing under pressure or ball sercurity!

I feel for those boys. Good team. Hang with Ontario until second half mistakes make the game look worse than it was. CRAZY GAME with Crestview in a last minute loss. Then a hard fought game with a good Hillsdale team. Hopefully they knock off Danville and get some confidence going. They could be a 7 win team but most likely will be a 4 or 5 and that's too bad. Not a true indication of their talent.O-Trap;898038 wrote:Seriously, I envy Loudonville and their schedule. SEVEN of their ten opponents are currently 3-0! Talk about a second-level point fest!

Haha, I don't really care....I just think it's funny because he really isn't that good of a coach and that is fact, just look at his overall coaching record.thedemoralizer7;898052 wrote:it was more of a joke.. i still like hearing all the input on dennis. Well said, and I aggree. Loudonville had a tough non-league schedule. They got some hard nosed, athletic kids. They will get some wins this year.Jmar25;898054 wrote:I feel for those boys. Good team. Reminds me of what my uncle (a high school coach for years) used to say, "when the booster club gives you the gift of luggage at the year end banquet, it's time to start looking for a new job."thedemoralizer7;898052 wrote:it was more of a joke.. i still like hearing all the input on dennis. On the Rittman situation/fiasco.....
In order to raise some extra cash for the program, the Rittman AD should have an auction at halftime and the highest bidder gets to coach the Indians in the second half.....I'm serious here, What could it hurt?
Miyagi and Red Rum would bid on this, in fact they insisted they saw a situation during the Mapleton game where "ye ole statue of liberty" play might have worked.
Now I may be thinking a little out of the box here.....but it seems to me
that 2 idiots paying the school $500 bucks to coach half a game....might be better than 1 idiot getting paid by the school to coach the whole game.

Now that scares me. Hopefully he is one of the "hands-off" AD's and only screws over the football team. Honestly, 6 wins might get them sniffing the playoffs with the teams they'd have to beat. Maybe even 5. That schedule is quite a meatgrinder.Jmar25;898054 wrote:I feel for those boys. Good team. I spoke to one of Smithville's coaches earlier this week, and I voiced my concerns about Hillsdale having played a weak schedule so far, and he assured me that Hillsdale was really sharp, and that Loudonville was considerably better than their record indicated. I guess Smithville scrimmaged them this year, and he said they played the Smithies tough.
Good luck to Loudonville. I hope they pick it up. They've got a schedule that would have them truly battle-tested to run in the playoffs if they can only make it there.
