Smithville had several roughing the passer calls tonight too. Not necessary, really.
I only recall one, and it was a pretty iffy call. That QB got hit
right after he got rid of the ball. If the defensive player had let up, and the QB had pump faked, it would have been the defender's rear end for not following through with the play.
All in all, the teams both played cleanly tonight. This Dalton team looked young, but they showed some fight, especially on defense. Offense needs shored up, but there is some talent there, and those Bulldog boys played tough. I could still see them winning maybe three games this year, and I could see them building on that in the next couple years.
