^^ Little late now.

But if the Titans would win some that would help! Oops! I mean after Friday it will help.

I was comparing regions and in each of the other 3, div. 5 regions Hillsdale and Smithville would both be in the top 8!

12 teams at 6-0 in the other 3 regions , while region 19 still has 9 teams at 6-0, unbelievable !

Actually the titans winning doesn't help the Falcons, and they still haven't helped Orrville :(

Is it a blessing or a curse? Did the STATE move us to REG 19 because of the WCAL spearheading the private/public deal....

Is it better to be here than in 17?

seems easier to get in in 17/18...and on a year where uofU is having a down year....could Hillsdale or Smithville have made a run?

"IF" the Bears are 6-0... they would be #1 in the region with wins over Smithville, Norwayne and Ridgewood.....

without looking, im thinking 5-8 last year in R17 would not have been top 8 in R19...no spilled milk here though...glad to be away from univ of Ursiline ...and hopefully we can squeeze Hillsdale in...but that would take them beating Norwayne, Im counting on them losing to Waynedale this week.

Edit: seriously looking at the geographic make-up of R19, I do not see how WCAL fits here....this region covers some serious ground...Crestview-Columbus Academy-Oakhill- Ironton-portsmith-Ridgewood...thats alot of area for a "Region" from east/west to north/south, its surprisingly large, but you have the rural areas included that are miles of nothing as opposed to the urban area more associated with the NE

yeah a WCAL team playing those SE ohio teams is definately a hike....my brother teaches at oak hill and that is a good 3 hour drive south. A playoff game would be around columbus for one of the county teams.

But look at Orrville the past 2 years being in region 14....we were definately out of the geographic region for 14...now we move back t0 13 which is NE ohio.

I do not understand the regional re-alignment. Smithville has been in region 17,18, and 19 over the past 12 seasons. This year the OHSAA takes Hillsdale, Smithville, Waynedale, and Rittman and puts them in the southeast region, and takes Monroe Central, Barnesville, from the SE and puts them in region 17? Wynford and Ashland Crestview from region 18 from the nothwest and moves them to region 19!!! This increases travel and that means spending more money to get teams together in the first round. The OHSAA has never been known to have any common sense. It does make you think about Beasts' theory!!!

If you look at region 23, they did almost the same thing in the same pattern. Mapleton, Lucas and Crestline went to 23 from 21.

Hillsdale would be sittin at #7 if still in R18 and Smithville would be sitting @ #8 in R17. Hillsdale with Waynedale and both with Norwayne still in the shadows.

Edit: for what it worth, Orrville spent the last 2 years in region 14??? Now they are back in the NE R13! OHSAA is full of great ideas...take a look at wrestling, where the weight classes were just changed, adding a heavier weight and eliminating one of the most populated middle weights!!! SMH

these regions have never made any sense. Dalton played west of bucyrus last year in region 21 (and there were teams in the region west of there). The next week, they played mcdonald which is over towards youngstown - that's a band that runs across most of the state, I just don't get it.

LOL How about the rebracketing last year...in DV? LCC had to play Ursaline in the Semi's instead of Coldwater....thats was genius.

You know that was done to avoid an all Private Final.

Conspiracy theories are always fun to debate, was there a second gunman, did John Wilkes Booth really survive, was W aware of the attacks on 9/11? You can talk endlessly about those events. Did the OHSAA really try to punish the WCAL by gerrymandering the new play off regions inorder to make it more difficult for the teams to get in? C'mon man.

Fact is, you have to win, and you have to win against quality opponents in order to make it to Week 11. If you don't, you don't go. That is a universal truth regardless of what region you are in.

The population shifts even more rapidly now than it used to. The WCAL had two teams move up to DIV this year, they (the OHSAA) tries to manage that population shift to the best of their knowledge and ability. With every realignment some school somewhere feels like they are getting slighted. Guess it is just the teams in the WCAL's turn.

Hey RINGZ....im gonna type whatever I want to spark conversation. Like I give a crap about it, it doesnt effect me...Bears are 3-3. It concerns schools that I dont give a crap about....just a solid point!!!!

To answer your questions:
Yes there was a 2nd gunman, yes Booth survived, and Yes W was aware....going with the YES factor....YES the WCAL was scammed. Good Luck to your Titans in week 11....thats right you be watching Orrville....possibly playing Norwayne...and possibly buying a buttload of tickets for all you OC buddys!!!

Edit: and I saw Elvis at walmart...

And I only made the points I did so your panties would bunch up a little bit further. I, too, give a rats behind what Regions anyone is in. My point was, however, the only thing keeping a team out of the play off is themself, not a bunch of devious old men who huddle behind a curtain and plot out revenge for the squeaky wheel.

My ticket buying offer wasn't for Week 11 it was for Norwayne making the Region 13 finals. And it still stands for regulars, not johnny come lately's. I have a list.

There was a second gunman, Wilkes died in a fire, and W knew very little about anything so why would we expect him to know this? I have seen Elvis on numerous trips to Wal Mart, I think he is a cart ranger there.

That was a NFHSA change was it not? It is very rare for Ohio to go against or not adopt the national association changes even when they can.
