Well yeah,... there is. First of all, it is a non reviewable call on a scoring play. Second, the runner is at jeopardy for trying to to get out of the endzone without the benefit of knowing necessarily that his forward progress will be marked past the goal line. Third, the defense can be awarded points for sloppy tackling or chicanery.Yeah, this is the part I just find ridiculous in the conversation. There's no problem with the rule.
