I wasn't arguing that Newton is necessarily ready to step in and start week 1 next season for whoever drafts him. I was asking him if he was drunk because he said he would draft Pryor one spot in front of Newton.

So being hurt in one game means he will have a hard time in the NFL but being hurt/injury free during the regular season doesn't mean he wont have a hard time?

At Auburn, Newton had to go through 1 maybe 2 progressions before he took off running. He's never had to make 4 reads. He is far from NFL ready, but another year in Auburn's system isn't going to make him any more ready.

I think most of Auburn's offensive plays aren't designed to have reads (save the option game) they are designed to fool the defense and leave one or two receivers open. It will definately be an adjustment to an NFL offense for Newton.

I thought at least one of the Buckeye pledges would have jumped ship.
As to the guy who said he would take TP right around Cam Newton... are you serious? Not only is Newton a much better college player, but he also shows more potential for the NFL. He is a much better passer than TP and to me, appears to be far more athletic. With all that being said, I wouldn't pick Newton anywhere within the first 20 picks; however, I wouldn't pick TP as a QB until about the 5th or 6th round

Newton was the second ranked passer by efficiency in the country behind only Kellen Moore. 50 less attempts, 3 more TD's, 4 less INT's. Pryor has improved each year but he is still not a polished QB.

I'm not saying any of these guys will be great NFL qb's....but if memory serves me right i believe Mr. Brady up in New England was a 5th or 6th round pick, so it doesn't always go as to where they are drafted, either way i don't believe Newton or TP will ever be high draft picks...way to many flaws...
