Not sure.
If they were smart, they'd target someone like Jonathan Joseph in FA and slide Brown to FS or bring in another safety.

Joseph would be a great addition to the team. I hope the bungals let him walk. If he were a Brown it would be funny to watch Cleveland embrace him as a Mich alumni and then he can pwn Leon (Braylon) about how the city loves him.
Moving Sheldon to FS is a move that IMO they've had in the back of their minds. If Wright can rebound to his former self and shake off the terrible season he just had, we'd have a formidible Def backfield.

Didn't Johnathan Joseph go to South Carolina?

McCoy was on WKNR and the more & more I hear, the more & more I like. Sounds like the group that was at Camp Colt 4 absolutely finds 5-11 seasons "unacceptable." Now I'd imagine most teams would feel that way but think back....when was the last time we HEARD players SAY it? Most of the Browns since the return were here to collect a paycheck and move on. He spoke of "changing the culture" and that it "won't happen overnight." Also spoke VERY highly of Jordan Cameron and Carlton Mitchell. Sounds like the whole group is kinda pissed and has a chip on their shoulder. Now whether they currently have the talent on the roster to do something about it is another story.

I think the talent is there, it's just going to take some time to develop it. I think the Defense is going to be the key to start the year, not just for the Browns but the whole league. Luckily, it looks like we'll get at least a couple preseason games to see what the offense looks like before week one. In terms of talent, I think there's more proven talent on the defense. T.J. Ward, Joe Haden and Ahtyba Rubin should still be solid. Everyone talks about McCoy's leadership, but I think Fujita's leadership is going to be just as important. I think if Eric Wright plays the way he's capable of, it'll allow for a solid backfield allowing us to move Sheldon Brown to safety.BR1986FB;828406 wrote:McCoy was on WKNR and the more & more I hear, the more & more I like. On offense, Cleveland needs McCoy's leadership to translate to success. If ever a team needed a QB - it's the Browns. I really wish Cleveland would bring back Vickers, if nothing else to help coach Marecic along. Hillis should be solid again, and may be more affective with less carries if Hardesty can stay healthy. I'd really like to see them go after another runningback in free agency. They've already said they're happy with the WRs they've got so I don't think they'll add anyone. I like that McCoy said it's not all going to happen overnight for Cleveland, but they've got a pretty easy schedule this year. We'll see, but at least things are finally looking up for the Browns.

I think they will pursue a RB in free agency and after what I heard from McCoy yesterday, I have my doubts that they will pursue a receiver. He used Shurmur and the Rams receiving corps (might have been the only receiving group WORSE than the Browns, on paper) as to reasons why. McCoy mentioned how Shurmur got over 3000 yards passing out of that offense with Bradford and those receivers. It will all come down to accuracy, which McCoy has,

We are fortunate to have Fujita. We have leaders on both sides of the ball. And It sounds like D'Qwell Jackson may do better than I thought in this defense. It would be huge to have a MLB that can be a playmaker.

I'm not worried about how Jackson will do in the defense. Dude is athletic as Hell. My concern, like many peoples concern with Hardesty, is that DQ can't stay healthy. He's had two torn pecs and has only played in 8 or his last 32 games.
I'd still like to see them go after a Tulloch, Puzlusny (sp?) or Chad Greenway in FA. Tulloch is really starting to jump on their radar from what I'm hearing. They need a disruptive tackling machine in the middle.

I'm still pissed about missing out on Demeco Ryans the year DQ was drafted. Missed him by one slot. Agreed with BR, I think DQ will be fine, if on the field. He's hardly been able to do that the past 2 seasons.

Haha...James Harrison continues to be a fucking asshole. He's got some nerve saying Cushing is "juiced out of his mind" (although he probably is) considering Harrison walks around with a 24/7 roid rage going on...(put it in here since I don't troll the Steeler thread)

If you noticed Clay Mathews in his USC days always went with shirts that said natural muscle or soemthing to that affect. To me it looked like a reflection of his thoughts on his juiced teamate(s).

Probably? Cushing served a 4 game suspension last season for violating the league's PED policy.
Like it or not, that part is fact. Dude's a juicer.

I meant now. I'm assuming that's what Harrison meant too. I know that Cushing tested positive and served the suspension.

This just keeps getting better. Could Harrison be calling Ben nothing more than a "game manager?"
