I liked the Browns draft, first time in about as long as I can remembert that I liked it more than Pittsburgh's

I don't know about that. The Steelers were picking last in every round and still managed to get some good value picks.

Heyward is a perfect fit for the 3-4 defense at end and has the right makeup to be a long-term great with the Steelers
Gilbert is an athletic tackle with good upside to even be a left tackle of the future
Two cornerback prospects which addressed their biggest need
Chris Carter the outside linebacker is an animal and a typical Steelers edge rusher
Baron Batch should catch a lot of passes and be a nice weapon on third downs and in the shotgun

I would say a quiet but effective draft. Maybe not top five or top ten with only seven selections but to rank it at 26th I'd question the credibility of that site.

And the funny part is, that site was designed by a bunch of "diehard" Steeler fans.

There are so many web sites that the Browns fans on here look at every offseason and you post stuff about how the Browns are a team on the rise and they're doing so much right.

BR has posted this stuff for about five years straight.

Then comes the season and the Steelers kick butt again and the Browns stink and have to rebuild and change the coach and start over.

I'm sorry but this is true. And you know it.

What does this got to do with my reply to you? It's some kind of nonsensical rambling. Had nothing to do with my response.

Only Browns fans look at Sports Illustrated?

Your point?

When Pittsburgh loses its franchise and the NFL fucks it over in how it allows the team to come back, we'll see if they get it right first time out of the gate or whether they have a few fuckups along the way. Until that time, you got nothing.

It's been 12 years now and it's been a horrid 12 years. No Browns fan is disputing that; and no Browns fan deserved to go through it, either, but that's what happens when you get an inept, addle-brained, ego-driven, lying piece of shit for an owner.

Let's also not forget that no franchise is immune from a bad cycle that can go on for a long time.

Hell, it took Pittsburgh 30 years before it finally won its first division title.

I posted that before I saw your reply. Not directed at you entirely but you get my point.

Maybe the Steelers fans on that site were trying not to be bias towards their team so they went too far the other way. That seems like a ridiculous ranking, 26th.

Well...Modell seems to think that's the best site out there and claims that they have proven that the Steelers are the "greatest drafting team of all time." Now that very well COULD be the case but I'm not going to trust their conclusion since they ARE Steelers FANS. Just like a Steeler fan wouldn't trust it if two Browns fans could somehow manipulate numbers in our favor.

I would think any site would reveal that the Steelers are the greatest! haha

They've had stretches where they've been among the best at scouting and drafting.

I would say presently they are not remarkable at drafting. Green Bay, New England and Baltimore are all better than the Steelers at drafting, but the Steelers are solid. The Steelers have made up for it some with finding undrafted free agents and probably most importantly their coaching and development. They have experienced coaches, especially on defense like LeBeau, linebackers coach Keith Butler, defensive line coach John Mitchell, who have all been there for many years.

I could remember being on the old site and the Browns fans were posting stuff about this time of year how they had the best breakout star (Braylon Edwards) and were the team on the rise, Savage had the blueprint to success....LOL

Then last year after a few decent weeks against New England, New Orleans and the Jets, the Browns were turning it around...LOL

The season ended with what should've been a 100-3 loss to the Steelers if the Steelers would've played the whole game.

At one time you were a semi-respected poster on here. Now, with comments like this and your stupid 'wins equal more knowledge' rant, you're showing your TRUE colors and you're acting like a child. "100-3?" Really? To be expected since you root for a team with a fan base with inferior intellect.

If I were to rate it I'd have it around a B/B+, so not out of line in my eyes.

I never respected that dipshit.

Overall I think the Browns had a decent draft, not enamored with the TE or the FB picks but other than that I have no issues with the draft. Loved the falcons trade pwnage. I bet this really pays off next season as well.

Excellent post. The Browns fans get all excited about the draft because well, they dont have anything else to be excited about. The truth is that Cleveland will win 5 or 6 games and the Steelers will be making another Super Bowl run.

Fedore(sp?) from wknr is giving them a "B". He loved the draft, but he said they should have taken Julio Jones. He says that they could have still got everyone else they wanted. Said they could have gotten sheard and then found another space hog in the 3rd round. He had Taylor listed as the 7th best DT.

Mr Fedor seems to forget the 1st & 4th the Browns received next year. His analysis is as solid as Sabrina's....

Yeah, I get what he is saying though...he is basing it off of only this year...not on what we get next year. I don't agree with him, but that is his philosophy
