I agree there. Not improving next year is inexcusable, but for those expecting a playoff year, you are more likely to be dissapointed than satisfied.

I think most fans would be pleased with those records. Schedule will be significantly more difficult as I know they play the NFC East but also the AFC West.

Part of the reason I want them to move on at QB is that McCoy is 0-8 against the AFC North and hasn't looked even "serviceable" against the Steelers or Rats except for his first start ever against Pittsburgh.

No playoff year. Not with their schedule. If they upgrade I could see a couple of divisional wins though. Could've had three this year.

lol of course I am, but I am also a realist, and I know it's just not going to happen next year, unless we get this miracle season where everything goes our way. I would obviously be happy with those records, but i would also be happy with 7 wins and being competitive in most if not all the games.

If we have 7 wins next season, are we going to hear the same whining that we should have been tanking since we're not going to the SB?

I think you'd hear more whining if they had the potential to win 10 yet only got 7 due to Shurmur gaffes. There are still fools that think this years team could've been a playoff team because of the close games they lost. :rolleyes:

I think a lot of people would be pleased with the increased wins and an offense that LOOKS like an offense. This "three 2 yard passes and a cloud of punts" offense sucks.

We've actually been a much better offseason than any team since the 07 team. You guys forget 08,09,10 and how dreadful those offenses were. We don't have the wins to show it, but I think this current team is our best since 07 and I'm pretty optimistic heading forward. I think we'll get a new QB and some weapons this offseason.

The problem this season is getting the ball in the endzone....sure we can move the ball, but if all you get is FG's it get's frustrating.


I agree, get a Real franchise QB and playmakers and we will be in good shape (fingers Crossed)

But even that said, we're still a better offense than the last 3 yrs.

That might be true. I think in his first start in place of Hillis, Hardesty single-handedly kept 10+ points off the board for you guys because of how he dropped every pass thrown to him AND THEY KEPT TRYING TO THROW TO HIM.

But regardless, if you lose the one guy you think you can probably count on to do something for a good chunk of the year, there's going to be problems when you don't have viable back-up plans. Which they really didn't.

This is why I doubt they let him walk. They have RB figured out with him there, they don't need to add another need to the whole list of needs they currently have.

I think Phil Dawson most likely will be the "key" player that isn't resigned, if anyone.

And they know that for Colts fans who want Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, that could mean cheering for them to lose.

But just because players know that mentality exists, that doesn’t mean they understand it.

“I don’t understand any of that,” Colts tight end Dallas Clark said, in comments distributed by the team. “I am just focused on trying to beat Jacksonville, and I think that everyone in this locker room’s goal is to do that.”

Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney said he gets why Colts fans would want to see the team get a great player in the draft, but he doesn’t have any interest in that discussion.

“I don’t care what pick we get,” Freeney said. “I have never cared. I don’t care if we have [any] first-round picks, I don’t care. It is just me.
