Word is Hillis pulled a "no show" at a candy distribution at the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland tonight.

Peyton Hillis looking for 10mil guaranteed from Browns and can't show up to kids charity event? # ManPlease
In regard to the charity event part.

# Browns RB Peyton Hillis so far has been a no show for charity candy distribution w/ kids @ the Boys & Girls club of Cleveland on Halloween
There's a chance that Hillis may have gone to Champs in Westlake for @ MDOTADAMS20 charity fundraiser featuring SEVERAL Browns players.
This is close to as bad as Roethlisberger no showing for the dying Make-a-Wish kid.

Letting down a bunch of kids that are expecting you is BAD, no way around it. Not as bad as no showing for a dying kid but VERY bad nonetheless.DeyDurkie5;952603 wrote:It's really not close to big ben not showing up to a kids dying wish at all.

Yeah, it's definitely not a good PR move. But to compare it to a dying kids wish is just dumb. Also, hardesty proving once again what a bust of a pick he was. Can't play football without getting hurt.

Anyone who actually "believed" in Hardesty looks pretty dumb, once again.
Dude is an injury prone bum, who even when healthy is nothing more than a decent 3rd down back.

Not defending Hardesty because his injuries are creeping back again but Hillis hasn't exactly been the picture of health.SportsAndLady;952617 wrote:Anyone who actually "believed" in Hardesty looks pretty dumb, once again.

Funny because Hardesty played MORE snaps than Hillis has this year. BTW...Browns are 2-1 when Hardesty was the feature back, 1-3 when Hillis was. Not saying Hardesty is "durable" but now you see why they're not "paying the man." (Hillis durability issues)SportsAndLady;952622 wrote:Hillis ran for over 1200 yards last year..what has Hardesty done??

Yeah, seriously. Kids look up to these guys. I don't want a piece of shit like that associated with the team I root for. If there's DOUBT as to whether you can make it, DON'T commit. Makes you look like a self centered douchebag.SportsAndLady;952623 wrote:Hahaha seriously?

Has he ever ran for 100 yards in his career?
Oh and what does this year have anything to do with Hillis running for over1200 yards last year?

Piece of shit? Yeah, okay. Dude's done DOZENS of charity events in Cleceland...he misses 1, to go to another charity event..and he's a piece of shit. You realize how stupid you sound, yeah?BR1986FB;952631 wrote:Yeah, seriously. Kids look up to these guys. I don't want a piece of **** like that associated with the team I root for. comparing hardesty to hillis is just dumb. Hardesty hasn't reached the 100 yard mark, nor has he gone a quarter of a season without getting hurt. Hillis is a beast, plain and simple. Hardesty is a backup.

There's a reason for doing it. You guys look just as stupid jocking on the nuts of a one year wonder that the league has figured out. Hardesty's NOT their answer at RB, but the FULLBACK (Hillis) isn't either.DeyDurkie5;952642 wrote:comparing hardesty to hillis is just dumb. ol you're just mad cuz your "stud" Hardesty didn't pan out like you thought he would..those of us who said all along how stupid that pick was because of injury problems were right, now you're trying to flame out against Hillis to cover up your Hardesty prediction.

I'm not hanging on his nuts. I'm merely pointing out the fact you turning on Hillis after a quarter of a season is a bit harsh considering the year he had when he was given the ball and the rb1 role. I get you don't think he is the answer, but I personally think he is a starter and should be our number 1 for years to come. Regardless, it's not hardesty who is that back imo. Let Hillis get healthy, and if he sucks when he is healthy, then so be it. But I don't think he is a one year wonder like you claim. After last year and in preseason, you were all over hillis. No reason to give up after a quarter of a season in which he has been unhealthy.BR1986FB;952644 wrote:There's a reason for doing it. Even if he did do that..which he didnt..but even if he did, doesn't make him a piece of shit. It's a charity event. He can miss it if he wantsBR1986FB;952646 wrote:Not at all. So he blew off a bunch of kids to go hang out with his teammates at a bar? Cool....

I agree. Not a fit for Shurmer's offense. Let's see what Ogbonnaya can do.BR1986FB;952644 wrote: but the FULLBACK (Hillis) isn't either.

Yeah, lets scrap our actual playmaker for an undrafted player who has been on practice squads; so we can "fit" our offense for our coach who's offense ranked in the bottom 5 of the league as an OC. Jesus, and some people wonder why Browns fans suck sometimes

If true, Hillis not showing up is lame. I heard the event being advertised on the radio and it was being touted as Trick or treat with Hillis or something. To say it's fine for a guy to not show up to an event he promised to be at (and was named after him) is retarded.

I'm not saying he should make it a recurring theme...but the guy shows up to a charity event it seems like every other weekend. Becuase he missed 1 event, he's all of a sudden a piece of shit? Come the fuck on.
