Just got back from Stiller Country. We went to Mountaineer Casino in West Virginia for my birthday. In breaking news....I counted a tooth (not plural)! GO BROWNS???

Every time cribbs touches the ball, he makes plays. That's what frustrates me about this offense, we try and force it to hardesty who is dropping every pass thrown to him and not doing much with the ball. Give the ball to the people making plays like cribbs and little.

I was pretty high on Hardesty but I'm souring on him a bit. My first concern with him was his health. Now I'm more concerned with him catching the effin ball. All of these Hillis trade rumors are bullshit. He's not an elite franchise back but he's the best they got. Anyone else get pissed watching Tyler Clutts for the Bears last night?

Question...one of the Hillis trade rumors was a 2nd, a WR AND a RB with the Cowboys. Do you do this?

Ummm yeah. I doubt it happens now since we just picked up a RB. Who was the WR supposed to be?

Didn't hear players involved just that it was supposed to be those 3 things. Dallas needs a RB with Jones going down.

Someone fill me in on the Hillis situation...

He's never actually demanding a trade correct? Makes 600k this year and Cleveland won't commit to a future with him? So his agent advised, or still is, advising him not to play?

It blows my mind that they don't want to lock him up and keep him around. You can never have too many backs, but if cap issues occur then I understand. From what I've been reading not everyone is sold on Hardesty. I think its a no brainer to keep Hillis around. Runs like a beast, seems like a great dude, fan favorite, etc. I don't get it.

A 2nd round pick is legit. RB's are dime a dozen imo, and only go as far as the O line.

Everyone loves Hillis...but we're not stupid. You can't run that physical style in the NFL effectively for more than a few years. Would love to sign him to a 2 year deal paying him 5 mil a year...but he's just wanting to do that (can't blame him either...he's a smart guy). It's just a shitty situation, but I think there will be a happy ending.

Exactly....see the all time leading rusher in the NFL.

He got injured yesterday apparently. Has never demanded a trade. There seem to be some questions as to whether he "fits" the WCO scheme. Frankly, he's the best they've got, by far.

He pulled his hamstring last game, thus why he wasn't in. As I said in my previous post, RB's are dime a dozen and only go as far as their line.

I'd be interested to know how much he's looking to get. It is a shitty situation. RB's have such a short window and 600k isn't shit in NFL terms.

From what I've heard, they had the parameters of a deal (years, $'s per year) worked out. It's the guaranteed money where the LARGE margin lies.

i never thought going into this season that hillis would be the one we are having this discussion about. Sucks big time.

Hillis is justified. Dude's running style isn't conducive to a long career and he needs to get paid before he gets hurt. With that being said, he hasn't handled this situation well and as far as I can tell, Shurmur hasn't handled it much better

I just get the feeling that the organization doesn't value him at all, so he will take their deal or be gone.

Wouldn't doubt this either. He very well could be gone.

If McCoy keeps regressing I could see them packaging picks (ATL 1st) to move up for Luck if a team like the Rams ends up with the #1 overall. Think this may have been the regimes plan from the get go. Draft a QB in the 3rd (McCoy), if he pans out great, if not draft the franchise once other pieces are in place.

Yeah I don't see any way a team offers a 2nd round pick for Hillis, let alone additional players on top of that.
