I was pumped when they took Mitchell last year, and a little disappointed that he didn't get on the field as a rookie. I've heard all the reports that they really like both Mitchell and Norwood, hopefully 1 of the 2 can make an impact on the team this year.

Kolb deal is done. Cromartie and a 2nd going to Philly. Kid got 20 large guaranteed. #smh. I would've went after Orton hard if I were 'Zona, Orton may not be great but he's more proven than Kolb. I guess Schaub worked out for the Texans though.

Blame that on Mangini. Heckert was pissed that Mitchell & Mitchell (Jayme) didn't play enough.

I think this is part of the reason the Browns aren't pursuing hard for a WR. I think they'll sign one before all is said and done, but they seem to be real high on the players they got.

For those hoping for Sproles...

NFL Draft Bible
Darren Sproles (Chargers) is receiving interest from New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers, according to Kevin Acee

Ochocinco will be released by the Bengals later today, I hope he is wwaayy off Heckart and Co.'s radar.

EDIT: If he can't be traded that is.

Now that Atlanta is pushing for Edwards, if Heckert is smart he'll swoop in and make a play for Clabo. #1 it will cause the Dirty Birds to bid against themselves (maybe they back off on Edwards) and #2 we have to protect that 1st round 2012 draft pick the Browns got from ATL by ensuring that they are weakened.

#Browns have agreed to terms with Saints free safety and Kent alum Usama Young, a source said. He'll compete for Abe Elam's job.#nfl

He is. I believe MKC meant Elam's "former" job...

He is. I think she just meant that since Elam's position has been "vacated" due to his free agency, Young could come in and start. Which, if they don't make any other signings it's probably Young's position to lose. I'm pretty sure Cleveland has offered the likes of Eric Wright and Elam, but they're still contemplating signing. I still think Wright is a huge addition and would allow Sheldon Brown to move to FS. Not sold on starting a player (Usama Young) that has six starts in four years.

So Eric Wright and Haden would be the starting CBs?

Tony Grossi
#Browns confirm they are terminating contracts of QB Jake Delhomme and TE Eric Alexander and waived TE Tyson DeVreee.

Houston is shopping DT Amobi Okoye. He's 24 and is a better fit in a 4-3 than the 3-4 he played in while in Houston.

The Titans are pushing hard for Ray Edwards and expect a deal to be done today I hear. That would be crushing.
