I heard Bently saying on the radio that the Ravens are not going to keep Magahee, Mason and Heap.

I believe Norwood is a UFA. He may not even return to Atlanta.

Ray Edwards Expected To Sign With Eagles
25th July, 2011 - 4:39 pm
Atlanta Journal-Constitution - The Eagles are expected to sign defensive end Ray Edwards.
Atlanta, which was courting him, reportedly has had a change of heart.
Instead, the Falcons will focus on re-signing their 11 free agents.

Good get on the Matthews (WR, Kentucky) kid from what I hear. Linebackers seem to be the order of the day as far as UDFA's go. I can see that being a targeted position once FA opens.

Buckram had a record breaking season in 2009 then had a knee injury and played sparingly in 2010, dunno if he never made it back to 100 percent in 2010 or what.

Nick Barnett to be released by the Packers...any interest? Pretty good in a 4-3 but I think he's 30 years old.

James Dockery CB Oregon State is latest to go with the Browns.
Some OSU homer probably wrote this on bleacher report in March but here you go.

James Dockery is Just Hoping to Hear His Name Called at the 2011 NFL Draft
James Dockery did not work out at the scouting combine. At that point it seemed likely that he was not going to be drafted at all.
He has good size for a corner at 6'1" and 185 pounds, but he flew under the radar at Oregon State, and most felt he was too slow to succeed in the NFL. His projected 40 time was in the 4.5-plus range.
The general feeling of scouts at that point could is summed up by Joel Welser of fftoolbox.com:
"Dockery is relatively quick and has decent instincts, but his measurables will not blow away any NFL teams. Oregon State's inconsistent and disappointing 2010 season has not helped Dockery's draft stock either."
Dockery now likely finds himself on draft boards on the strength of his Pro Day. He showed more explosiveness than expected by running a 4.46 40 and posting a vertical leap of 38".
This certainly isn't Patrick Peterson range, but it is rock solid for a corner his size. He is now a likely sixth to seventh round selection, and that is going to be steal.
Dockery has an excellent feel for the game, and he had a productive college career.
This is a young man that improved each year he was at Oregon State. He took over the full-time starting duties in his 2009 junior season. He showed off his durability as he started every game for the rest of his college career.
In 2010 Dockery really began to flash his potential as he had 56 tackles and four interceptions in 2010. Even more impressive is Dockery's penchant to come up big in big moments—two of his interceptions were late game clinchers.
Dockery still has things to work on like his footwork and hip rotation, but his progress as a college player shows he is capable of self-improvement.
He is a very solid tackler and will contribute on special teams early, and as he begins to get comfortable with the NFL game he has the size and ability to be a solid No. 2 corner.

Maybe a slight interest. He's a pretty good LB coming off of a Super Bowl winning season with the Packers. If the FO can get him to buy into the "win now" mentality, I think he can provide a decent amount of leadership to our young guys. If he wants a long term deal, worth a ton of money - onto the next one.

LOL at our new LB from Maryland.

Also rumored that we picked up an OG from Minnesota and a DE from Appy State.

I'm thinking with Fujita and Barnett, we'd be one-step closer...at least bring in some of that "depth" we crave so much, and someone reliable to spell D'Qwell Jackson who, as we all know, is injury prone.

The Ohio State dispatch reporter said he talked to Sanzenbacher's agent and the Browns finished second for Sanzenbacher's services...

I've heard the same thing, but I'd wait 'til Friday before I truly believe any of the rumors. There's going to be a ton of talk between now and then. Heard on ESPN (wasn't paying attention to who) that this was a like like approaching signing day in college . . . you're going to hear of a lot of guys giving their "commitment" to a team, but until they sign their name nothing is for sure.

Blech. I know you love him but if you want a "slow, old man" out there I can man the middle.
