He's on the wrong side of 30.

I knew I forgot a UDFA, Derrick Locke (Kentucky), might be a better fit for that change of pace back than Noel Devine.
I like Locke much better than Devine. I would be a fan of that signing.

The Bucs owners are in known money troubles as they also own Manchester United and reportedly have trouble even making the payments on that purchase. On ESPN Football Today they said they wouldn't be surprised to see one of the Bucs owners on the roster making $49 million. Also don't forget they only have to reach the spending floor by the end of the season. Something to keep in mind.

I think the Bengals are also close to that figure.

He makes a good point about the LBers. I don't want to start the season relying on DQ/Maiva as the MLBers.

Been my feeling all along. The only one of the 3 who has been consistently good in a 4-3 has been Fujita. DQ can't be relied on and when Gocong played a 4-3 in Philly he was "meh."

Plus, the Browns don't really have a Patrick Willis/Ray Lewis thumper type that will strike fear into their opponents. Guys like Greenway, Puz & Tulloch won't necessarily do that either but are HUGE upgrades (tackling machines) over what they have.

Esp when you consider DQ and Maivia's size. They are both on the smaller side.

They are both definitely 4-3 "size" linebackers but I question their ability to make impact plays behind the LOS. Browns need a BEAST but I'd imagine they'll be looking at that heavily in the 2012 draft.

Hmmmm...we always hear bitching from players and fans about how "they're making the game into flag football, etc, etc" regarding fines levied and how the commish has made the game "soft." Apparently, quite of few of the players are just as "soft." Agree COMPLETELY with Scott on this...pussies

SMH, at wanting to eliminate 2 a days. Hypocrisy at its best.

My HS did 3 a days, but honestly I thought that made the day a bit easier with 2 breaks in the day instead of 1.

did 3 a days in a camp for an all star game. high school we did 2 a days... but I think they were pretty long compared to other schools. 3 hours, 1hr break, 3 hours. Sometimes it'd be longer.

Former #Browns tight end Aaron Shea is the club's new director of player development, source said, replacing Jerry Butler.

I really liked him when he was on the team, despite his michigan-ness.

He was one of the guys that always stuck around after practice to sign autographs, talk with fans/kids etc... Worked his ass off and had suprisingly solid hands as a back up TE. Far better than Robert Royal.

Once Delhomme is cut/restructured/whatever the Browns should be 3rd on the list. How in the Hell are the Steelers $10 million OVER?

They need to sign Woodley to a long term deal and that will help free up some cap space. Flozell Adams might not be back either. Some of the big money guys are gonna need to restructure as well. I'm not too worried about it but it's not the position that you really want to be in.
