While I wish we could have had some longer drives it was encouraging that we actually scored touchdowns when the defense gave us a short field. In the past I feel like that fumble and punt return would have led to 2 field goals. In the end touchdowns are the most important thing and Colt did a good job getting us in the endzone.

This a real concern, as he had one last year too.

And Jackson with turf toe isn't good either. The RB position is really looking thin going into thursday's game. Hardesty is supposed to play though.

Concussions are s different type of injury. Can't fault him. Especially when you're getting them making a tough play.

Was pretty pleased with the Browns after McCoy's third TD drive. Was kinda "meh" after the first two because they totaled less than 60 years. The last one was a nice 80+ yard drive. The passing offense, this year, will be night & day compared to years' past.

Concerns fall in the "still no pass rush", "Evan Moore is hurt again", "O-Line needs to step it up in the running game and protecting McCoy" and the "secondary's coverage wasn't great" departments.

One thing that I've noticed is that Cribbs is going to be a key target/decoy. He may not catch a lot of those long balls from McCoy but he is going to draw a helluva lot of penalties which is just as good.

Will be interested in seeing what Hardesty does in that he was the odds on starter as a rook before the injury. Hillis emerged out of nowhere.

Greg Little is slowly becoming a weapon in this offense and I think Jordan Norwood has locked down that slot receiver position. This team isn't NEARLY as bad at the receiving position, between TE's, WR's and RB's out of the backfield, as the national pundits want you to think they are. Plus, we haven't even seen MoMass this year who will finally start practicing Sunday or Monday.

Need to see more out of Sheard & Phil Taylor. Besides Sheard's strip on that fumble I didn't really notice either of them all night.

D'Qwell Jackson is BACK and making some noise. Knock wood he stays healthy because he's looking like (easily) their best linebacker. Fujita & Gocong need to get on the field.

Overall, not bad but not great.

WHAT!? You seriously think a team uses a #1 on him? I wouldn't be opposed to the Browns considering him, but I wouldn't use anything higher than a #6.

I watched the replay...

Do the Browns ever pressure the QB?

I think a high pick on a pass rushing LBer will be in the Browns future next draft.

Turf toe can derail an entire season. If Jackson is banged up that much and Hillis is nursing a hamstring...and Smith can't hang onto the ball -- look for a RB to be signed soon. They may need to sign one just for the exhibition game Thursday.

I thought the same thing until I realized that they usually turn those short fields into 3 points, not 7.

You're much more generous than me. I'd give a 7th rounder for him, reluctantly.

If the Browns truly believe in Colt McCoy, they should not touch Pryor with Grossi's "ten foot pole". The second that McCoy plays poorly in a couple of games, which will happen, fans will be screaming for Pryor. It won't be good for the Browns or Colt. They need to pick a young guy and go with him. They can't keep trying to develop two young guys at once.

I bet the Raiders take this guy pretty high. But I can't see a good team wasting a high pick on him. And I hope the Browns are included in the good teams.

That would be the only likely team but I don't even see Crazy Al throwing a 1st out there after the Jamarcus Russell debacle. Pryor isn't worth 1st round money. Offer the SOB a tattoo and call it even.

If the Browns do decide to take a shot at Pryor, it's not likely to be as a QB. It could happen, maybe, with the way Jarrett Brown has played in his two preseason games - but I doubt it. Even if they do take Pryor, Colt McCoy has absolutely NOTHING to worry about.

McCoy is obviously going to be the starter in all 16 games this year. Any fan that calls for Terrell Pryor (who's suspended the first 5 games, hasn't taken a single snap in an organized NFL practice) to replace McCoy after a couple bad games, doesn't need to be watching football. Period. I'm not sure where you're thinking is coming from, because I simply don't see any of what you said playing out. Have you been paying attention to the Browns at all? They've picked their young guy, it's Colt McCoy. Mike Holmgren always takes a QB to develop, right now that's Jarrett Brown.

Your reasons for the Browns not drafting Pryor are a little out there - but...to each their own, you're entitled to your own opinion, and I respect that.

TP could turn into another one of the Browns' TEs/WRs...Imagine having Watson, Moore, Cameron and TP on the field at the same time as targets haha This is total joking around, but he could be a developmental project as a WR if he just accepts what he can and cannot do.

He reportedly said that he was open to playing any position the team that drafts him sees fit. That's encouraging, and the right thing to do if you're Pryor. Also, his attorney was apparently wrong when he said that Pryor would appeal his suspension. Instead, he'll sit it out. Which is also the right thing to do. In a way he's still "honoring" the suspension set forth by his ol' ball coach at OSU.

I am not a Pryor fan by any means, but if the Browns could get him for a #6 I would like it. Worst case scenario you throw him on your practice squad. And if a team drafts him and uses him strategically he could be effective. But he will never be a NFL starting QB.

Putting him on the practice squad would likely be the waste of a draft pick. I don't think he's an NFL QB but he has too much athleticism for someone not to steal him off the practice squad. They'd have to keep him on the active roster (see Don Carey/Jags fiasco, Browns swiping Derek Anderson from Baltimore, etc).

Well, I have been a fan of the Browns since their glory years in the 80's and it is the same old thing. Everyone loves the backup quarterback. Bernie was about the only quarterback who could play poorly and not have fans clamoring for the guy holding the clipboard. I am not saying it would happen this year, Pryor is a non-factor this season, but it would happen in the future.

I wouldn't mind taking a chance on Pryor, but for no more than a 5th round pick. Move him to TE, and get him in one-on-one coverage against linebackers, and let him use his athleticism to get free. Almost like a Kellen Winslow type TE.
