I can't say with 100% certainty, but I don't believe the Browns will sign him. He failed to live up to the $80 MIL contract he got from the '49ers and he'll be 32 this December. I'd say there's maybe a 30% chance the Browns sign him, could be wrong though.

I suppose there's an outside chance he could wind up in Cleveland, but like I said earlier - I haven't heard of any RBs being linked to the Browns. Doesn't mean there isn't possible players being looked at, just that it hasn't been publicized. Gotta believe, though, that Heckart and Holmgren have running backs on their radar. Hardesty's "I'm 100% healthy" gimmic isn't fooling anyone, at least until it's been proven.

I hope so. Hillis was banged up at the end of the year and Hardesty hasnt played a down.

I kinda like the idea of Barber and Hillis in the backfield, I'd take a chance if he was cheap

So how about instead of signing Eric Wright, Nate Clements or even Nnamdi Asomugha - we sign Jonathan Joseph? I'd be tickled pink...

I am trying Browns fans.. Still no confirmation on Joseph or Ray Edwards but the chatter is lively.. Can confirm Clev made big offers

@JeffDLowe Browns made an Offer for Joseph / Tampa has as well & Bengals did y-day : Lions also involved(Did not confirm if they made offer)

Some say he's a questionable source, but he's been spot on so far. Thoughts on this? How's that for bridging the talent gap BR?

Bummer, same with Edwards I take it? Where is this "news" even coming from? Just ESPN talking heads?

Sorry guys, I waited up with ya'll. It'll come tomorrow, but it's pertaining to Joseph and Edwards - most likely Browns. Some believe that Edwards is using the Cleveland offer to drive up more money. A lot can change throughout the night, but if I had to guess - Edwards is 85% a Brown and Joseph is probably more 75%-80%. That's all I got for now - and no, not ESPN. I'd believe you guys before I would ESPN! Sorry again.

I wouldn't mind Jonathan Joseph in the least. Gives us a very very good corner opposite Haden and frees up Wright to be full-time nickelback.

Late to the party here. I go to bed at about 8pm...LOL

Read this morning that Joseph, Edwards & Tulloch are all possibilities. Boy would THAT go a long way toward making them competitive on the defensive side of the ball.

Here's a Bleacher Report article on this...

No big deal. We signed 23 guys who every team passed on 7 times.

I have no problem taking this free agency slow. Look around the league, who has won with free agency signings? No one at all. You build a team through the draft and pick up depth through free agency and spot starters. If we can get a right tackle, a lb, and maybe a corner and de I will be happy

Eagles agreed to terms w/ DE Jason Babin per Jay Glazer. w/ the Falcons reportedly out of the running for Ray Edwards, the Browns might be the team for him. Would be a nice get to help solidify the DL.

As for a good Browns insider to follow on twitter, I'm not sure. I have mostly just been following the national guys. If the Browns are to come to terms w/ and major free agent or draft pick, they will probably be the first to break it.

The Eagles signing Babin is good news. That just made the Browns' chances much higher for Edwards.

saw that last night. Do they not have enough cap room to sign both?

That would be a plus if the Lions would sign both Durant and Tulloch, as they were also reported last night as being in on Jonathan Joseph, another guy the Browns have been linked too.
