Obviously, I'm not an OSU fan, but bravo to the fans AND Tress for showing support to players that made a mistake.

It's kind of like the old thing where I can beat my little brother up, but nobody else better touch him.

This is why you don't only DVR the game, but you DVR the next two or three shows after it in case the game runs long. I didn't see it live, but heard about it on the radio the next day, then went back and watched is since I had it recorded.

Yeah. I just think of the '03 Fiesta Bowl that went into double OT and the '04 Fiesta Bowl that ended in regulation, but was still the longest Fiesta Bowl in history lasting over four hours. You just never know what will happen or how long a game will go, so I always record extra.

I'll take my medicine. Been out of town all week long.

Stanford/VTech game was a game for the first half...then turned into a waxing.
This game was a waxing for a half...then it turned into a game. But one thing I was right about...Mallett is a huge choker!

Mark May is just bitter because OSU never recruited him, while in high school. How pathetic is it to hold a grudge for that long?

I dont care for Mark May really, but there was no need for Jimmy to do that if that did indeed happen.

Mark May deserves every dis he ever gets and then some, especially from Ohio State representatives, whom he's never had a good thing to say about. Had he said what he did in regards to Florida/SEC (whose knob he slobs) prior to their Bowl appearance in general you'd feel differently. Guaranteed.

^^This. If you're going to sit there and run your mouth about someone, be prepared to take some heat when you meet face to face down the line.

Being a UM fan, I have no problem with what Tressel did. Actually, it's nice to see him be human instead of his usual robotic self.

I hope you're not basing this off of the pic at the end of the game. One bad pass =/= choker. Did you watch the game? Mallet actually played a great game. His receiving core choked and lost him that game.

It isn't like Mark May dissing the Buckeyes was an isolate incident, it's a pattern of behavior. I'll never forget in 2002 when OSU was 11-0 with two games remaining and Mark May was asked if the Buckeyes would finish the season undefeated and play Miami in the Fiesta Bowl, and he said no, and not only would the Buckeyes lose to Michigan but that they would also lose to Illinois. After they won both of those games be still didn't give them credit. It wasn't until they won the Fiesta Bowl that he gave them their dues, and he tried to make it sound like he'd been picking the Buckeyes all along.

That was the '02 season, but point taken.

That's exactly what I'm basing it off of. No, I did not see the whole game. I was in meetings for work until the last few minutes of the game.

And I'm not saying that one bad pass = choker. But what I am saying is that your defense was able to get you a stop, and your special teams were able to block a punt to set you up on the opponent's 18 yard line, and then you throw THAT shitty of a pass = choker.

The game was on the line...he couldn't handle it. At least for me, that's the definition of a choker.

I don't know exactly how many there were, but there were several BIG drops by the WRs. They weren't some little hitch routes or quick slants for 3-5 yards, these were TD catches and First Downs that were on the money and were simply dropped by the WR. Yea, that was a shitty throw to end the game, but it isn't close or fair to make a conclusion off of that 1 play. Like I said, he didn't choke, the WRs did.

I know a lot of Bengals fans that want Mallett, and I've told them he's not a Super Bowl winning QB, he's like Carson again but not quite as good. He doesn't seem like he has "it" that separates the elite QBs from the really good QBs. I could be wrong and he may win a Super Bowl, but looking at the Alabame game and then the Ohio State game and it doesn't give me a lot of confidence that Mallett has what it takes to win big games.

it seems his biggest weakness is throwing accurately while on the run, something you better be able to do in the League...it'll be interesting to see where he's drafted
