I am not really excited by any of the matchups this year and will probably only see 3 or 4 and probably go out to eat during the triway and wooster games :)

For those interested in going here are the matchups http://www.wqkt.com/node/647

There wouldn't be enough room there with your 4 girlfriends, it's probably expensive enough just filling their troughs. :)

Hope the weather cooperates....

6 games for $8 (at the door) is such a good deal. Would like to go to the Wooster, Triway & Orrville games....but might have a Christmas party to attend.

Mike Breckenridge sent me a listing of all the games in the history of the classic, I'll get that posted on my site.

If you bring your girls, sit on the less populated side so the court doesn't tilt :)

Im excited to see the Dogs play Lutheran East....I was saying after the loss to Chanel last year that we needed to play a regular season game against a black school and I am glad to see that we were able to get one. I think it is the most important non league game we have. Should provide all teams involved a tournament like atmosphere.

Are they in your sectional/district?

yea - not the most delicate way of putting things DHS. In all honesty, it is good to play a team the style of LE - when all of the teams in your conference play a similar style of ball, then you face a team that plays another, it can put you on your heels and I absolutely think that's what happened to Dalton last year against Bedford Chanel. To answer the other question, yes, L. East is in the Bulldog's district (and have probably been one of the best teams there in recent years with a lot of length and speed.

I do think the Dalton v. EW game benefits Dalton regardless of the outcome. The game those city schools play is completely different from what the Dawgs see during the season, and getting this one under their belts helps Dalton in March.

Good luck to all the area teams this weekend, Norwayne, Manchester, Northwestern, Dalton, Triway, Wooster, Orrville, and Hillsdale! If you've never been to these games before, get there EARLY! Parking can be tough to come by. However, I'm excited to see how their new complex is coming around.

Parking may be especially messy b/c of construction.

Orrville/Hillsdale is the only local matchup.

Wish Hiland would finally accept the invitation to play. They'd bring a nice crowd.

Always UNDERWHELMED by the turnout. Weather has impacted it in the past, but it never seems to be too overly crowded. Visiting sections other than the final game will be sparse.

Wish they'd do some sort of side attraction...like a 3 pt shot, or a half court shot at half time of the games....or a drawing for a t-shirt. I know, I know...that needs money and sponsors...but it would give people something to watch.

I had to change avatars because someone who remain nameless kept sending me PM's looking for their numbers. My previous avatar was a distraction to the quality sports conversation which is commonplace on this site.

Good luck to all teams this Saturday

Exactly. especially because the best schools in their district most years are Lutheran east, bedford chanel, and richmond heights, all squads that play a similar style of ball.
